DONALD RAMOTAR – PRISONER OF BIG BUSINESS AND CRIMINAL ELEMENTS – BY JINNAH RAHMAN
NO PLACE FOR DONALD – During the General Elections we have been saying that there should be no place for Donald – that message was joyfully received by the nation on private TV stations, read in private newspapers and social networks in Guyana and around the world.
Ramotar made it clear that he “would continue the Jagdeo path of development”. We can now confirm that he has done just that – in the face of a DEFIANT majority of Guyanese voters – who were actively supported by brothers and sisters in foreign lands.
Our readers must note that the CALL for a GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL UNITY has been totally ignored by Mr. Ramotar and company. Why? Because he is in the pockets of BIG business in Guyana and some abroad. It is clear to all – even among people who voted for the PPP – that Donald Ramotar is a prisoner of the drug lords and big business.
Donald talk about UNITY – but he has gone ahead and set up a discredited cabinet of Ministers. No one believes that Mr. Ramotar is serious about taking the country forward. Robert Persaud hopes to manipulate Donald in the office of the President – as an agent of Jagdeo. Donald must pay back for the billions that were spent on the Election spree – and the organised rigging that took place during the elections process.
Tomorrow we intend to close down the city of Georgetown to demand that the VOICES of the MAJORITY of Guyanese – who voted for the opposition parties – APNU and AFC – must be heard and we must have a meaningful role in the direction of our country. The country will enter a state of gridlock – that is caused by Donald and his henchmen.
WE ASK ALL GUYANESE TO ASSEMBLY AT THE SQUARE OF THE REVOLUTION AT 8 IN THE MORNING TO SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE TO RAMOTAR AND HIS BIG BUSINESS FRIENDS that they will not be allowed to run Guyana without our fullest involvement.
WHAT WE WANT :
1- Save your Christmas money to invest in a business or to help a family member invest in a business
2- Shop only for what is absolutely necessary or shop with opposition supported businesses (we will soon post a directory only of where not to shop). The names of Businesses that dont support – a Government of National Unity – will be told to you.
3- Restore pride in your community; clean up the trash and reach out to a neighbor in need
4- Let this season be about love and respect, not about materialism, showing off and spending. Explain to your children the true meaning of Christmas.
5- Opposition supporters account for more than 60% of the spending on Regent Street. Mostly monies received from remittances sent to Guyana by families overseas. If you stick to this plan, the politicians will have to listen.
6- Remember that fast-foods and processed foods are not healthy for you, sugary drinks promote diabetes and other health related diseases. Support restaurants which promote local foods and healthy eating.
7- Make sure that your kids read more, take school seriously and advance your own education. Take advantage of online educational activities.(we will a resource list shortly)
We urge all oppressed citizens to use your financial strength to regain your dignity, your independence – which is your strength. Refuse to be treated like second class citizens in the land where all our ancestors worked hard and slaved. Return to community development values, share what you have and help each other. Love those who love you – regardless of race, religion, age or gender. BREAD, JUSTICE AND PEACE !!!
MAKE SURE YOU TO INFORM EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT TOMORROW -TUESDAY 6TH. DECEMBER 2011 – ASSEMBLE AT CUFFY SQUARE – THE REVOLUTION SQUARE IN TIME – SEE YOU THERE.
