Guyana govt Minister Kellawan Lall not being charged for discharging loaded gun
KAIETEUR NEWS: After nearly five months, the Director of Public Prosecutions has advised the police that no further action should be taken against Minister of Local Government Kellawan Lall for discharging a loaded firearm.
Kaieteur News understands that the file on the matter was returned to the police some time last week with the advice.
The police had sought the advice of the DPP on whether Lall should be charged with the offence. [it is an offence]

Shalimar Ali-Hack, Director of Public Prosecutions protecting the criminal Kellawan Lall
Although receiving a report almost two months ago, the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Shalimar Ali-Hack has not decided whether Local Government Minister, Kellawan Lall appropriately used his firearm during the rum shop brawl last year.

Stabroek News: President of the [Guyana Bar Association], Kashir Khan is also questioning the statement issued by Minister of Local Govern-ment and Regional Develop-ment, Lall on his involvement in a fracas with a teenager and the firing off his weapon while allegedly attempting a citizen’s arrest. Minister of Agriculture Robert Persaud quietly withdraws his bogus rainfall figure
Stabroek News caught mba robert lying about rainfall in Mahaica/Mahaicony Creeks so what does mba robert do? he does the right thing and withdraws his bogus numbers very very quietly and without statement or fanfare. if only killer kellawan lall would withdraw himself from the ministry of local govt quietly and without fanfare.

I read with grave concern the Stabroek News Editorial on December 31, 2007, entitled ‘Decency and the rule of law’.
Firstly, as regards to the rule of law, it is this newspaper which seems bent on subverting the rule of law by carrying out a trial of me in its columns almost on a daily basis, with that paper being the sole judge, jury and executioner.
