Suriname military enter Guyana waters seize boat
more on this later but we’ve learned that Surinamese gunboats and/or troops entered Guyana waters and seized one or more passenger boats and took them back to Suriname.

the glen lall: A Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo)-contracted vessel was yesterday seized by the Surinamese military, while on its way to Guyana to collect sugar.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Guyana-registered MV Lady Chandra 1 was seized by the Surinamese military at 13:30hrs while travelling in the Corentyne River.
This area enjoys the status of a border river separating Guyana and Suriname.
MV Lady Chandra 1 has reportedly been boarded by the Surinamese, and is being escorted by three military vessels to the Surinamese port of Nickerie.
Last evening, Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud confirmed that the vessel was destined to uplift sugar from Skeldon.
While this will cause a minor delay, the Minister said, GuySuCo has already begun putting arrangements in place to have its sugar shipped from Skeldon.

Unfortunately the Corentyne River is part of Suriname. Guyanese have to get permits from Suriname to fish the waters. This is a strange arrangement, virtually unknown anywhere else, but it is a fact, and so it is hard to see how the Surunamers could have entered Guyanese waters, if they were in the Corentyne.
A few years ago a Suriname vessel actually landed at Scotsburgh Beach, but was chased off by three men, two women and a cow.
The Guyana Police were busy stopping Tapirs, Bass were busy cosying up with their drug dealer pals, and we never see a soldier here yet. We don’t know what they do.

Yes, Mr. Ramphal and a few US lawyers won the Maritime boundary Dispute with Suriname. It was all over the news this year. Mr. Ramphal even released a book on it last month.
That is why CGX can start drilling for oil now.
Guyana won that case and they did not send a PPP lawyer to fight for Guyana because they know that no PPP lawyer is capable of winning any case outside of Guyana.
Even the recently retired Minister of Foreign Affairs was a PNC product, Mr.Insanally. The PPP also had Dr. King as their adviser, a former PNC minister.
It shows the PPP is intellectually bankrupt. We are allowing rum suckers to run a country.

The whole world is turning around their economy except Guyana. Years ago we were better off than Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and many South American and Caribbean countries, today they are ranking us with Haiti. But Haiti has more rich people than Guyana. Friends told me that Haiti has better infrastructure than Guyana.
We were better off than Suriname but today Suriname is miles ahead of Guyana.
