Social dishevelment in Guyana, visionless leadership & the Carifesta bread & circus

with 2 comments

In Guyana one can clearly see the connection between social dishevelment and visionless, lackluster, uninspiring and jejune leadership. When leadership is driven by nationalist instincts, then progress is inevitable. What it means is that rulers are motivated by love of country.

Sadly in Guyana, the way our party system evolved, power instincts took the place of nationalist pride and it has been like that since the PPP and PNC split in the fifties. Read the rest of this entry »

other than his two.bit cocaine hustling, murders, building houses, getting forestry permits and sexing big bucktuh bhar.rat and the johnny come lately nouveau riche pure breed brahma types swashbucklin’ around Guyana, apparently, the former house thief was “part of a battle among political factions in Guyana” it will be interesting to find out who these factions are/were. in the meantime our courtroom was able to confirm with shortie through elaborate hand signals that he did loose his maiden which given everything else that could be lost, is not so bad afterall.

Angola surpasses Nigeria as Africa top oil producer in April

without comments

AllAfrica: President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has expressed displeasure with the recent leapfrogging of Nigeria by Angola which assumed Nigeria’s position as number one oil producing nation in Africa, a position Nigeria has maintained since 19978.

A senior official in the presidency told LEADERSHIP recently that the presidency is highly disturbed by the development, saying that “it is unfortunate that Angola a new entrant into the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has over taken the country in crude oil production as a result of avoidable circumstances”. [anything surprising about sambo Yar'Adua being upset? he is now considering having the Delta folks guard the pipelines for crumbs but that's not going to fly either. if the people of the Delta can't benefit from the oil, no one will]
