The issues that will be addressed include evidence of the emergence of an etchnocracy in Guyana, the threat to democracy and freedom of expression, Mark Benschop’s imprisonment, the arrest of Ex-GDF officer, Oliver Hinckson on fabricated sedition charges, the removal of the Chief Magistrate from office, government supported death squads –the “Phantom,” the Lusignan and Bartica massacres, the killing of Marclyn King, extra-judicial killings, the crime situation, government corruption, torture and the absence of a rule of law in Guyana.
The press conference will be held in the Conference Room, Ann Blue Convention Center, 4708 Church Avenue, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11203 (Between 48th Street and Schenectady Avenue); Tel: 718-462-2020.
