who are these clowns? they ever heard of fair use? oh i know, they think you guys are making millions off ‘their information’ since you have a google ad on your site…such royal asses
thanks to propaganda press we’ve learned a lot about wordpress from the links, suggestions and info you guys post as some of us don’t have the time to look and experiment with these things…i bet this is a white person…they own everything, including knowledge, information and the access to knowledge and information…well at least that’s how they think

Ever heard of “Right to refuse service”? My copyright policy states that I have the right to control the use of my content. I didn’t know if you did or did not use scrapers to grab content from other blogs, but I face 2-20 content thefts a day as lazy people steal the hard work of myself and others and call it their own. So you can understand why so many are sensitive when their content is being used on a site they don’t understand or one that looks “spammy” at first glance.
I’m sure you are doing good work here, and since you are not violating Fair Use of my content, and I’m sure respect the hard work and copyright ownership of all content on the web accordingly, I’m glad that you cleared up the issue for me. You are the first in three years to have NOT been using my content with a scraper or as purposeful plagiarism when I accused, but with intent, so the odds were against you to begin with.
Thank you for clearing up the issue and I do hope that your site also remains free of copyright infringements and abuses of your own content. It’s a major plague on the web and I appreciate that you are also helping to educate and inform others of the issues that confront bloggers who work hard on their blog content only to see it ripped off for financial gain.

ok let me clear the air on this one as i am the person who made the post
the information for the post came from a very secret source - the wordpress dashboard panel!
i simply copied what i saw there as i’ve done 40 plus times in the past and linked to it http://propagandapress.org/category/wordpress/ if what’s there don’t make sense or is not clear i copy a line or two from the article after reading it and link to the article.
from the wordpress dashboard i read the info listed in the ‘wordpress development blog section’ and the ‘other other wordpress news’ section everytime i log on looking for new plugins, themes of interest and anything else related to make this blog function better and to inform our readers more about wordpress
if i see anything of interest i think our readers might be interested in i copy a line or two and that it. that’s how the information got on the site
i myself have never heard of ‘Right to refuse service’, ‘autoscraping software’ or ‘content scrapper’ etc until now as the only thing i have to do with the web is an occasional post on this site, reading news & propaganda and sending email
all regular readers know that i or no one else on this blog is involved in the technology or blogging world much less speaking at conferences
so the title would’ve either been a hoax or informational. and it is blockquoted and linked to the article
in terms of financial gain, the ads on this blog should cover hosting this month and if we’re lucky we’ll have left overs to splurge on a gigabye or two of storage and/or bandwidth
for the record all my original content is copyright infringable

Thank for your continued up front honesty. And I am so THRILLED there is one blogger out there who hasn’t, until now, been tainted by the ugly that is blog scraping. Lucky you. I deal with dozens a week who steal my content and either call it their own or put a link on it and call it “full credit” while they smear ads all over the page and in and around the content making money on my content. I do not have ads on my blog and get no direct income from the writings I publish, so why should my hard work make someone who does not work money?
So you can understand our sensitivity and frustration with those who steal our content.
Because you are new to the subject, I recommend you check out What Do You Do When Someone Steals Your Content, and Jonathan Bailey’s fantastic articles, 5 Content Theft Myths and Why They Are False and The 6 Steps to Stop Content Theft. As I say in one of the articles, it’s not a matter of if your content will be stolen but when.
I do hope you continue to blog free of plagiarists and content thieves.
