Guyana govt celebrate Bartica & Lusignan massacres

with 4 comments

we told you once, we told you twice we told you a million times THE GOVERNMENT OF GUYANA IS LAWLES AND SHAMELESS. this is what they meant by a toned down Mashramani ‘a sea of colour and music’ and that’s the government owned Guyana Chronicle talking. they got you right where they want you sheeple of Guyana - drunk and euphoric! gleefully entertained, sexually titillated, sedated and bamboozled. it’s never too late - ORGANISE! MOBILISE! RESIST! PROTEST!!

chronicle front page day after mashramani

if you went to this charade, dancing on the dead we hate to do it but you stand condemned.

“Planning for the different bands started months in advance and entailed investment of millions of dollars - another reason for the government’s decision to proceed with the activity.”

$$$$$$$ i$ all that matter$. wake up and live Guyanese

  1. what’s the matter guys, are you more annoyed that people ignored your calls for a boycott of mash, or that people still feel a sense of patriotism to go out and celebrate our republic day?

Yes, terrible things have been happening in our country for the last few weeks, no one can deny that. But our country cannot stand still because of these things. Furthermore, it is not the government that is responsible for mash, it’s the people of guyana, and as you’ve seen yesterday, they supported it quite well.

Mash isnt all about jumping up and shakin ur ass, it’s our holiday, it’s our celebration, it’s our little carnival, and as such, we shouldn’t let anyone take it away from us, we’re not going to allow criminals to over-run this country and dictate for us our actions and minds.

Myself, and i’m sure the entire guyanese population, is disheartened by the loss of lives in the recent killings, but, as insensitive as this may sound, life goes on!

  2. thank you president jagdeo for your input
the people are free to do whatever the please. we will continue to do what we do
but mr president one question, if the govt is not responsible for mash, why is there a mash secretariat in the ministry of culture?
mr president the mash secretariat is headed by one lennox canteburry who resides in the same building as the ministry of culture
is the ministry of culture a private organisation?
we’re glad your live goes on?
by the way what are you doing to stop the country from being over.run again?
these might help you get a better picture of the country you’re in. a fact based, reality based one

  3. It is clear what the motive behind this person’s allegations are “Protest “, “Riot” and corruption. This is what Guyana does not need at this point in time. We are currently recovering from protests in the past and ongoing crime.
Persons influencing such activities are hinderers to our society’s progression and a bad influence to our youths that are frail to such rubbish.
Celebrating Masharamani with his country men and women is something that is always on his agenda. This does not mean that he cares less for the ones mourning for their loved ones or forgetting the situation at hand.
This time for Guyana {Masharamani} is a time to unite and celebrate for our freedom.

  4. ‘tyron’ before you post rubbish get your facts in order. please point out where we said anything about rioting?
we expect to hear back from you soon ok.

on to corruption, the PPP govt has done enough to corrupt Guyana. ask the state dept, ask any ngo, ask any businessman, ask any lawyer, banker, doctor, nurse, teacher, student, ask the world bank, ask transparency international, ask the people of Guyana, ask anyone

this is a good starting point to see who’s failing and killing the youth of Guyana http://propagandapress.org/2008/02/25/guyana-refuses-overseas-manpower-rohee-teixeira-contradict-each-other/
to all those who want to celebrate, we say keep on keeping on. we believe in freedom and free.dumb which we reserve for those who think it’s time to celebrate
we not celebrating with you. we boycotting
