   Contacted, the minister denied that the incident occurred. “I don’t know about any assault. I was not assaulted and I don’t know what you are talking about,” Lall, who had admitted that he fired his gun during a brawl last year November, told Stabroek News when contacted yesterday.
   Some hours later, Attorney-at-Law Anil Nandlall issued a press statement on behalf of Lall, which said that the minister had gone to the snackette to purchase some food, when he was confronted by a woman with whom he had a relationship. “The woman’s behaviour was unfortunate, uncontrollable and very emotional,” the statement said. “My client wishes to emphasize that during this encounter he did not assault this woman nor was he the subject of an assault.”
