The Guyana Police Force is concerned about recent incidents where over the past few days there have been a number of bomb hoaxes and crank calls to schools and is urging members of the public who have information that may lead to the identifying of anyone involved in these activities to contact the police.
All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Resulting from investigations conducted into the incident where female prisoner Onica King escaped from the police while being transported to the New Amsterdam Prison on November 02, 2007, Constables Curtis Ivan and Sandra Corridus have been charged criminally.
They appeared before Magistrate Y. Cave at the Mahaica Magistrate Court today where they were placed on cash bail to return to court on February 28, 2008.
Meanwhile, Onica King was charged with escape from lawful custody and an arrest warrant has been issued for her.
