Mr. Know-About-Everyone-Business Freddie Kissoon silent on traffic light destruction - Julian Mortague
What about the vandalising of traffic lights Freddie?
Isn’t it appalling to see Mr. Freddie Kissoon writing about the traffic lights that were apparently switched off on Old Year’s night and not a single line about the vandalism of these public infrastructure?
Many of the traffic lights have been destroyed by vandals over recent weeks.
Perhaps by people who don’t care much for advancement and who enjoy the congestion in Georgetown.
We’ve often heard the saying, “Guyanese people ain’t know about nothing.” Maybe this is true.
But, Mr. Know-About-Everyone-Business Freddie didn’t think it important to write about the damage, rather he goes on and on about the lights being turned off on Old Year’s night.
This is the kind of dilemma that faces us in this country – the government undertakes a massive investment to install lights in the City to aid traffic management - some silly people destroy them and then Mr. Kissoon finds it better to talk about the lights being turned off.
What about informing citizens about the destruction and calling on individuals to stand against such actions?
Maybe, if Mr. Kissoon were to write such an article, then I bet he will gain the status of a useful citizen.
