Kellawan Lall - I am a victim and I’ll sue Stabroek News

with 10 comments

kellawan lall - minister of local govt & criminal psychopathDear propaganda press:
I read with grave concern the Stabroek News Editorial on December 31, 2007, entitled ‘Decency and the rule of law’.

Firstly, as regards to the rule of law, it is this newspaper which seems bent on subverting the rule of law by carrying out a trial of me in its columns almost on a daily basis, with that paper being the sole judge, jury and executioner. The matter referred to has been reported to the police. I think that the correct thing to do is to await the findings of the police. Read the rest of this entry »

with 5 comments

Terrence McKenzie in Bartica Hospital, Guyana, with lacerated back after allegedly being tortured by Guyana police.“I have done a walk-about recently and I asked people what were their major concerns. No one raised this one [torture of the men] except some sections of the media. You and I know the major concerns of people nothing to do with allegations of torture of two men. People are concerned with getting water, their own home and land and being able to buy food and unpacked barrels coming from the US,” the security minister said. [admitting failures of his PPP crime syndicate]
“When you finish with one allegation there will be another. I am not expected in my life time at the ministry to dispense with all these allegations,” Rohee said.

Odinga Sets Conditions for Talks

without comments

AllAfrica:Last night, Raila dropped the preconditions he had earlier set for talks, and declared that he was agreeing to international mediation, through which he would negotiate with Kibaki.
Raila also said he was willing to participate in an interim government whose only purpose would be to prepare for a re-run of the presidential election.
“The interim government should last no more than three months,” he said, adding that such a poll should be conducted by an independent body and not the ECK, which has been discredited as partisan and whose members are President Kibaki’s appointees.

Odinga - Kibaki is a criminal

with 2 comments

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Opposition leader Raila Odinga vowed to defy police and hold a rally on Thursday to demand Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki quit over a disputed election, which has sparked violence that has killed more than 300 people.
“What (Kibaki) did was nothing short of a civilian coup d’etat and he is now ruling by decree. Should we allow this kind of crime to be committed against the people of Kenya?” Odinga said in an interview with the BBC.
“This is a defining moment. The people will not take this vote-rigging by the government lying down. We also cannot have a government shooting at the people,” said Odinga.
