African Guyanese are uneducated and lazy - Shameer Ali
Finally a black person had the courage to tell the truth about the crimes in Guyana. Mr. Fredrick A. Smith, who is a black person, admitted in the Saturday’s Guyana Chronicle that blacks 99% of the crimes in Guyana. It takes a lot of courage for a black person to admit this because everyone is afraid to say it for fear of being called a racist. But facts are facts. Just take a look at the prisons and see the ratio of ethnic inmates. Also take a look at the persons who are being arrested daily for crimes and you will clearly see they are mostly blacks. Blacks have the same opportunities in this country to make it but choose not to educate themselves and work hard.
This is no one else’s fault and the black community should admit the problem and tackle it head-on.
Both blacks and Indians came to Guyana with nothing but Indians worked hard and look how well our hard work has rewarded us. We are targeted because we are more successful but we own most of the wealth and businesses due to hard work. Guyana is not racist to anyone if you educate yourself and don’t be lazy.

This is such a stupid statement. What proof has he that blacks commit most of the crimes in Guyana and if that is the case, don’t black make up the majority of the population in Guyana. You said Guyanese blacks are lazy and uneducated…please. THat is such a stereotypical and racist thing to say. Do you know all the black people in Guyana? Are you so popular? I think not. I feel so ashamed to call Guyana my country when its come to this baseness! Guyana was at first a black country and then the Indians were brought there. Both races worked hard, and as far as I know, the Indians have CHEATED in the elections since the 90s. Once there are corrupt politiicians, there will be a corrupt nation, and heed this, once there is a minority, ruling a majority, there will be anarchy. Just ask how much longer that government will hold.

I totally agree with Gia. A people reflect the qualities of their leader. A corrupt leader will indeed lead a corrupt nation. Also, Indian ancestors went through nothing near to what the ancestors of Blacks went through, and we disregard our history as though it dosen’t affect our present and future. We have to look at how our foundation affect us. Blacks do work hard, but when racism is so deeply embedded in the government, how do we expect change? How do we expect change when change is not provided or supported by the leaders. It is the leaders’ decisions that are taken into considerations.

This is true. Wherever I have been, may it be the U.S.A, may it be Britain it is the same as back home. Blacks commit most of the crime. Though I know some black people in person who would not do such things, they are exceptions. I have lived in poor white neighbourhoods in Britian but except drunken rowdiness I have never faced any violence even though some of them were physically much more larger than me. Many have been helpful from time to time. But some of my Asian friends living near black neighbourhoods cannot stand the depravity, stupidity and crime in these areas. This is the case in every black nation. South Africa and Nigeria are even worse. I have been to the poor asian nation of Bhutan and I know friends who have gone to Iran for business. These poor asian nations have virtually no crime.

I agree w/ Gia….No one should say anything about those poor poeple in Afric well not all of them are poor but…..anyways………My point is the person who wrote this article has no right to say what he did Africa is a country who is well known for poverty and diseases yea but it is also a country of riches and success, so don’t say they are uneducated and lazy. If they were uneducated and lazy they wouldn’t even be able to socialize and comit crimes they wouldn’t have and knowledge or streght to to so…….=P
