Ernest Angley - a criminal and conman for Jesus descends on Guyana
we’re following this latest bullshit and propaganda campaign of this charlatan and criminal…what got us going was we were assaulted by one of his silly billboards promising to raise the dead and heal the sick at the western end of the demerara harbour bridge…for those of you geographically challenged, that would be on the La Grange, West Bank Demerara side…foto soon come. got it just dont have the time right now to upload

I don’t see where on that billboard that it says “raise the dead” as the poster has commented on. In fact, there’s nothing on that billboard that contradicts the teachings of Jesus in the bible. If God is healing people at his services then I’d be afraid to say anything bad about it. If God is healing people at his services then I say it’s great! If no one is being healed then he wouldn’t have any following. It is better for us to wait and see whether this is of God before rushing to judgement.

I’ll see for myself. I’m not the type that believes everything I hear about people. I must see and hear a person for myself before I will decide if they are of God or not. If what he says in his services matches what I know is in the Holy Bible, then I must as a Christian consider his words carefully. If I see or even experience for myself a miracle in his service then I can’t deny it. If people get a miracle from God while in his crusade service then I’ll be very happy. If not, then I’ll be disappointed. I’d rather be optimistic. If people had only listened to the naysayers in Jesus’ day, then He wouldn’t have been able to reveal such greatness as He did. But, there were people who went to see Jesus and hear Him speak and were not disappointed. If this minister is preaching the truth then God will be able to move for people who don’t doubt. I look forward to seeing for myself. Thank you for displaying the photo, now I know the dates and place.

Thank you for your invitation. I’m I to come back to this same article page? If there are miracles that take place I have a feeling that your coorespondent wil still think they are faked somehow because he’s only going to try to reinforce his/her biased view. I on the other hand am more open minded. I’m not saying my opservation will end up different, but I believe I’ll be a bit more objective. But, I do encourage whoever you send to try to be open minded to begin with. That’s the best way for honest and fair reporting if there is such a thing among reporters (or in this case us humble bloggers). I also realize this site isn’t really for that purpose. At least your site has opened up a dialoge for discussion concerning supernatural things (myth/fake or real). Peace.

I have never quite known what to make of Angley.I live about 45 minutes from his church, and have gone there on a number of occasions.I have taken terminally ill people there for a miracle, and none have been healed. But on the other hand,I knew a lady who was going blind, and was healed there(according to her..she is a very mature, sensible Christian)I dont agree with some of his doctrines, such as Christians being able to live 100% free of every type of sin. That sounds like we are judged according to our works, our own righteousness, rather than forgiveness through grace. He also teaches that Christians can commit the “unpardonable sin” by not believing that the miracles he claims are genuine.I am sure glad Jesus is my judge, and not Rev.Angley!!In spite of all this,I actually like Angley,I have met him and he seems to be a sincere and nice man who loves God with all of his heart!I cant stand Benny Hinn,Peter Popoff,or all those other phony faith healers. But,Angley seems different, strange but sincere.Even James Randi, who did a book exposing faith healers, said that he found no fraud or insincerity in Angley.Randi does not believe that miracles really happen there, but that Angley believes they do.I am always a skeptic, and need to see some documented proof, but I dont want to rule out the possibility of miraculous healings, either. Some claims are psychosomatic, some exaggerated, some sincere, but wrong. But do we really know for a fact, that people arent getting healed,at least on some occasions?I can not honestly say that.Jesus can heal whenever He chooses to,through whoever He chooses to work through. My husband prayed for a woman who had been given only 6 months to live. After he prayed, she claimed to never experience any more pain, and she lived for 5 more years. My husband is just an ordinary guy,but God answered that prayer.

I’ve seen and experienced for myself real miracles from God at Angley’s services. Notice I said miracles from God. Angley plainly states that he can’t heal anyone, but that thru faith in God miracles can and do happen. As far as the doctrine of living free from sin, I must say that in my own study of the Bible, Angley hasn’t said anything that conflicts with the Bible teaching of living a holy life thru His grace. i think where some get confused is on what “sin” is and what makes a person holy. Sin, according to the Bible and what Angley teaches is willful disobedience toward God. In other words, you know what you are about to do is against God (like you know adultery is wrong) and you go ahead and do it anyway. This is what will send a person to hell, according to the scriptures, unless they repent and never go back into it. If they repent and then just keep doing that then they weren’t “saved” from anything were they. To be “saved” is to be made free from all sin by Jesus’ shed blood. But, if we continue to do the things we did before we got saved, then we aren’t living holy are we. God said “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Jesus also told many people that he would heal “go and sin no more.” Sin isn’t having a bad thought or a temptation. It is only sin when you act upon that temptation. Jesus was tempted but overcame. He has given all those who truely accept Him the same overcoming power. Sin isn’t making a human mistake like driving too fast. This is where many think you can’t live free from sin. But, the Bible says no sin can enter heaven. The only way to get free from sin and stay free is by accepting His salvation and then continuing to live like Jesus. Angely just came out with a nerw book called “Living Free from Sin” and I’ve read it and found it has about 700 scriptures that prove its not only possible to live free from sin, by God’s definition, but it is an absolute must in order to have Jesus living on the inside of your soul. He certainly won’t dwell in a heart that has sin in it will He? I highly recommend this book. If anyone thinks they know what Angley is preaching about this subject, they really need to read this book to fully understand.

I said he seems like a nice man when you meet him.If it is true that these African people are not getting healed, then it is tragic, because they will go off their medicines, die sooner, and spread HIV to others(because they think they have been cured)I feel very conflicted over what to think of Angley, because I have heard my Mother adore him, admire him for 30 years. Its been so ingrained in me I suppose.I dont agree with alot of his doctrines,I think he hurts people by teaching frightening things .He frightens anyone who doubts the reality of his miracle cures by saying they have committed “the unpardonable sin.He says this holds true for Christians as well as nonbelievers! What confuses me is that you hear testimony after testimony of healings, miracles.I would love to see documented proof. If anyone knows where one could see such proof, please tell me.Not anonymous stories, where the names are kept secret. That proves nothing to someone like me.I do believe God heals people on occasion, but does He do it through Angely?Ive also heard that Angely says abortion is OK,does anyone know if that is true.I find that very strange for a Pentecostal preacher.

To alease davis:
First of all, it would be good for you to get his book “The Unforgiveable Sin” so you can really know what the scriptures say about blaspheming against the Holy Ghost. In my study of that book I found that Angley is right in what he is saying causes a person to blaspheme. He never said that doubting a miracle thru his ministry would cause a person to blaspheme. I think you heard that from someone trying to relay to you what they think he said. If a person sees a miracle take place thru a real ministry like Angley’s and they believe that he has a devil working thru him and not the Holy Spirit then that is the same thing that happened when Jesus performed miracles and some said he did it thru the power of the devil. That, according to Jesus, is calling the Holy Ghost a devil and that leads to blaspheming. I know of a minister in the Akron area who stated that there were miracles happening thru Angley’s services, but this other minister said it was witchcraft. That is an example of a minister who blasphemed. And, in fact, that minister wasn’t living right to begin with. They were caught having an affair. So, it showed me that Angley was right and the other minister was not of God at all.
Secondly, there is medically documented proof of miracles and these documents have been shown on TV a number of times over the last two years. Keep watching Angley’s program and you’ll see the documents. I’ve also witnessed people’s x-rays of their proof of miracles. If you truly want to believe then God will make sure you get to see more, if you’re truly honest hearted. But, those who don’t really want to live without sin, they want to continue to indulge in the flesh, whether it’s drinking, drugs, sex outside of marriage, etc. they will continue to doubt no matter what proof they see. I hope you aren’t that type who doesn’t want to change. I wanted to change, I knew life could be better for me and that God could put in me enough of His grace to live holy each day.
Thirdly, I’ve never read or heard Angley say that abortion was okay. I have heard him say that the best thing to teach is no sex until marriage and that would help young people stay free from not only unwanted pregnancies but also HIV and other diseases. This is what he preaches. He’s into prevention. He certainly isn’t a anti-abortion fanatic like some. But, he also preaches that for those that already have AIDS, there is hope thru Christ. This teaching is in harmony with the Bible. God said, “Is there anything to hard for me?” But, he also states that those who believe they are healed should go back to their doctor for medical confirmation before they stop their meds. This is why the health minister of Guyana has now stated that Angley is welcomed back to Guyana anytime. They have seen that his preaching is helping people: 1. prevent the spread of HIV by living better (no sex until marriage) 2. promotes going to medical centers for checkups even after prayer. 3. helping children who were born with AIDS have a chance at life and not be descriminated against. The missionaries that Angley brings with him are never afraid to go to the AIDS wards and clinics. They encourage those that are dying and pray with them for salvation and give them God’s hope and love.
These are the reasons that governments are inviting Angley’s people to come to their nation while the tend to shun some of the other ministers that are just there for show and for money. Reportedly, Angley loses hundreds of thousands everytime he goes to these nations because of the cost of travel and the cost of hiring help for the crusades. He ends up being a blessing to the local economy and doesn’t reap profit, but loses money. His calling is to help people. If it was about money he’d live in a mansion like Benny Hinn. But, he still lives in the same small house that he’s lived in for decades. He only paid about $40,000 for it. That’s nothing for a house in Ohio. I realize you know he isn’t in it for the money, I only stated this for others who may read with curiosity.

Yes, I have. And, what you call “propaganda” others, like myself, call it spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You and I have opposite views of the Bible. A true minister is called to “go forth and preach the gospel to everyone.” This is the great commission that Jesus gave to all his followers. He also said that signs would follow the believers, “in mine name they shall cast out devils”. Angley is fulfilling the calling.

You’ve lied rebelucion. First of all, the government of South Africa did place a ban on advertising of Aids miracles unless you have documented proof. After that ruling, people came forward to show their proof (they that once had AIDs and then after prayer at Angley’s service they tested negative). There wasn’t just one who was healed (and if there was just one wouldn’t that still be huge - healed of AIDs - WOW). Angley has many documented cases now - absolute medical proof. This is why the government doesn’t ban him while they do ban others. I’ve seen the documents. There were people healed in Guyana including another one who brought her medical prrof of AIDs miracle. You must not have seen that or the others that i saw get healed. Lastly, i’ve been to almost every continent around the world and i’ve seen cons, and i’ve seen the real thing. Angley is the real thing. Your last lie was that you claimed he takes a bunch of money out of these nations. Again, that is unfounded and untrue and even the governments know that he spends any money that is given as offerings in the nation in which it was given. He spends WAY more in a nation then he leaves with. That is another reason why governments have been encouraging him to return to their country. Presidents and Kings have met with him and ask him to return. You don’t believe in Jesus so that’s why you don’t like what Angley is doing. Whatever religion you are of, if any, at least be glad that Angley has a heart to help people even if you don’t like the way he does it. I’ve been helped by him and my family has received miracles. Some in my family would already be dead if it wasn’t for Angley’s prayers.

In further investigation of rebelucion’s comments, I now believe that there is some confusion that needs cleared up. Many are getting Rev. Ernest Angley confused with Benny Hinn. Rebelucion’s comments seem to be about Benny Hinn, not Ernest Angley. Benny Hinn has also been to Guyana and maybe that is where rebelucion heard him say they were no healings because of their unbelief. Angley, on the otherhand, was excited about the healings that took place in Guyana when he was there. Another confusion, Hinn also went to South Africa right before Angley and there were no documented AIDS miracles and therefore the government started the advertising ban about the time that Angley arrived. Ernest Angley actually encouraged the advertising ban and promoted it on television saying he was glad the government placed the ban so that only real verifiable AIDs miracles can be promoted. Since that ban Angley HAS benn able to promote these healings throughout South Africa because he has independent medical documents of AIDS miracles including 4 children who had tested positive for HIV/AIDS (already had gone into full blown AIDS) and then after prayer went back to the doctors and tested negative. They were checked twice (after a year) to make sure they were still negative.
Another thing, Benny Hinn usually tries to find out where Ernest Angley is going to have crusades and then will make quick arrangements to get into that country before Angley. But, Benny Hinn always goes to the rich area of the country. While, Ernest Angley goes to the poorest area because he doesn’t care about the money. Angley does give people a chance to give in an offering to help with the crusade costs, but that is so they can have a chance to be a part of it and get a blessing from giving, as the Bibe teaches. Benny Hinn has been thrown out of some nations for his practices and money tactics. But, Ernest Angley has been welcomed back into nations by the government officials once they realize that he is nothing like Benny Hinn. I believe this is why some think that Angley is in it for the money, because they only think about Benny Hinn and others like him. Once they really study Angley’s ministry then they see it’s sincere. Of course, those who hate Christianity and all Christian ministers (even the good ones) will continue to make false assumptions and redicule. But, that’s nothing new. Jesus has been rejected many times by many poeple, but thank God He has also been accepted by many people and we can still hear His words preached with power.

Can Jesus heal Aids?
An advertisement for a religious campaign has been ruled out of order for lack of evidence that Jesus can heal Aids.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) made the ruling after receiving a complaint about a newspaper advertisement in March for a “Miracle Crusade with Reverend Angley”.
The advertisement claimed among other things that Jesus “heals Aids”.
The ASA said it had tried unsuccessfully to get a response to the complaint, but the advertiser had “failed to provide the ASA with verification of the claim in question”.
‘An element of faith’
For this reason, it ruled that the ad was in breach of the ASA code, and misleading.
The ASA said advertisers had to have documentary evidence to support all claims capable of “objective substantiation”. It noted that an element of faith could be involved when viewing advertisements such as this.
“However, caution should be taken when referring to HIV and Aids, as an incorrect assumption based on religious faith could result in further infections,” it said.
Though the ASA ruling does not go into details, the Reverend Angley referred to appears to be Ernest Angley, an evangelist based in the United States of America.
He specialises in praying for the sick in the name of Jesus, in a ministry that according to online encyclopaedia Wikipedia “takes him all over the world via television and crusades”.
His website suggests people can be healed by putting their hand against his on a computer or television screen. - Sapa

Like I said, that was the when he first advertised in South Africa before he knew about the new law. After that, he acquired the medical documentation and this past March 2008, when he went back to South Africa he had no problems with the government and he was welcomed. There was also 4 people with testimonies and medical proof of their AIDS miracles. It was made public including their names and the documents were made public.
More published web reports:
Angley’s activities in Southern Africa, in particular his claims that AIDS and other dreaded diseases can be cured by God’s healing power, have provoked hope in some and outrage in others. In March of 2007, authorities in South Africa cancelled an advertising campaign for Angley’s ministry, based on lack of medical documentation for actual healing of AIDS through prayer. [2][3]
Angley has started to emphasize documentation of the healing of AIDS. In one case a former HIV positive patient in Guyana came forward admitting she once had HIV and then after prayer was given a test which showed she is now HIV negative. She brought documentation of this onto the stage of a crusade.[1]
Ernest Angley stated publicly on a live television broadcast on his ministry-owned TV station (WBNX-TV, April 19, 2007) that he “supports the South African decision to ban false advertising of AIDS miracles” and has the verifiable medical documentation from former HIV patients who have tested HIV negative after prayer (acquired in South Africa after ASA’s comments). Also, in that interview the testimonials were shown of the HIV patients and their medical documentation proof of their former HIV positive diagnosis and their present HIV negative diagnosis. The video clip has also been shown on his website.[2] He stated that he has verifiable medical documentation from former AIDS victims that he will be able to submit to any country that requires it.[3]

Dear rebelucion, who hates Christianity:
I realize you are not a follower of Christ and I don’t criticize your faith or lack thereof.
Firstly, the woman in Guyana who came forward with her medical documents proving she was healed of AIDS did so unprovoked by the Angley ministeries. She did it because she was excited that God healed her. This report was already documented on TV, and the testing was already independently done.
Secondly, the people healed ofAIDS in Africa were also publically documented and reported on and the medical examinations were independent. This also has been publically reported on TV.
You will always doubt, but for the very few others who might read this little blog are curious they should continue to keep up with the news and watch for more stories about documented cases of diseases being healed. It’s happening whether anyone believes it or not. Those that want to doubt God’s existance or His ability to heal any disease will continue to mock. Meanwhile, people who want the truth and need help are getting it, thank God. I’ll waist no more time on this little blog. My reports are here for all to read and they can investigate for themselves. Those that really look for the truth and are honest hearted will see what I’ve seen. People are getting real miracles and real salvation and lives are being changed for the better thanks to God’s grace!

Would someone who is a member of Angley’s church please set the record straight for me.There is a website called”Law versus Holiness” that is proclaiming that Rev.Angley teaches that abortion is not a sin at all.According to this site,Rev.Angley teaches that life begins when a baby draws its first breath, because God “breathed”life into Adam, after his body was formed from the earth. No one will answer this question for me.If this is a vicious lie being spread to defame Rev.Angley, wont somebody say so,come to his defence? If Rev.Angley does teach this, this is pretty bizarre for a man of God.John the Baptist leapt in his mother’s womb, when she greeted Mary.He obviously was alive, and aware of his proximity to the unborn Jesus! If life begins with that first breath, thenpartial birth abortion is OK,because the baby didnt get a chance to breathe yet(even though it is full term and ready to be born. If this is just a lie being spread about Rev.Angley, then I apologise to him for bringing it up.Someone set the record straight, please?

He even has the gall to ask for donations which get sent to his mail box at a UPS store near his home! Why would anyone pay any mind to such ramblings? I think ‘alease davis’ is asking the question about abortion to the wrong readers. She/he needs to go to some other site. If Angley does believe that the soul enters a human when the person breathes on their own for the first time, then he is the first Christian minister that actually has made some sense to me. I’ve always believed that a fetus does not have a soul until it breathes life on its own. As far as John the Baptist when he was a fetus, the “Holy Spirit” caused the fetus to leap. That does not mean the fetus had a soul. The Spirit of God even spoke thru a donkey to Balaam, but that doesn’t mean the donkey had a soul. Animals run around all over the earth, they have life, but they don’t have a soul. Just because something moves, has life and even emotions does not mean it has a soul. Humans, according to the Bible (look at the first place the soul is mentioned) get a soul when they breathe life for the first time, not when the body is formed (Adam was formed by God, but did not have a soul until he breathed). Therefore, even though abortion is not condoned by Angley, at least he doesn’t call it murder like so many other fanatical Christians. It sounds like he focuses on promoting living a holy life, no sex until marriage, birth control, and therefore no need for abortions. While the anti-abortionists aren’t really out there helping people find Christ. Just look at that nutjob’s website lawvsholiness, that guy certainly isn’t getting anyone help from God. How many people is lawvsholiness dude and others like him helping find Christ? Zero.

The greatest miracle is the miracle of deliverance from the power and control of sin. Instead of trying to speak for the “victims” of his ministry; we should let them speak for themselves. Also those who speak of what authentic ministry is should allow us to visit their churches, ministries or examine their service to the community to see if it measures up the the biblical standard of preaching the gospel with sign following, like Jesus told us to in Mark 16:15

I dont think people should be passing judgement on Rev.Angley.He is just a man.He is not perfect and he makes mistakes. Some of what he teaches is not correct.Anyone who says they are living completely free from sin,is only decieving themselves. In the Bible,St.Paul struggled throughout his entire Christian walk.He was torn constantly between the fleshly nature and the new regeneerated spiritual nature.I hardly think that anyone today is having more success in this area than Paul was 2000 years ago.I think it is a sin to even dare say that you are “free from all sin.”Maybe if we define sin as “the 10 commandments”perhaps, but there are so many types of sin,and it dwells in our bodies, our human natures. We end up doing what we do not want to do,and we fail to do that which we want to do. We should not judge Ernest Angley,if he truly believes that life begins at birth, then he does not see abortion as a sin.He is acting on his conscience.(I believe abortion is murder, dont misunderstand me) We should pray for God to show Rev.Angley the truth,we should try to talk to him about the truth about abortion. He loves Jesus with all his heart,it is not our place to call him a conman, phony, only God can judge his heart. Its fine for us to point out that he teaches some error, but dont judge him.Has anyone actually heard him teach that life only starts after the birth and first breath of the baby? There are other religions that teach that, but I have never heard it taught in Charismatic circles. They are nearly100% prolife.

To Luke Carrington:
I agree with you that we should not pass judgement on Angley, but I think you should read a book he authored called “Living Free from Sin” before you continue to pass judgement on what you believe Angley’s views on sin and holiness are. First of all, Paul did not struggle with sin after he became “new”. When he wrote about the struggle he was talking about his life before conversion.
Romans 7:24-25 “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” (this is before becoming a new creation - read further).
Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk NOT after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from the law of sin and death.”
You see, he indeed became free from the old sinful nature.
II Cor. 5:17 “Therefore if any man (or woman) be in Christ, he (or she) is a NEW creation.”
A new creation is one like unto Christ - free from sin. If I was to get “saved” and continue sinning then what am I saved from? You either are a new creation or the same old sinner.
Galations 5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh.
According to the Word of God, if you walk after the flesh (the old Adamic nature) you are of the devil; but, if you walk after the Spirit, you’re a child of God. I think many are confused about what “sin” is according to God. Angley explains that sin is willful disobedience to God. Just having a tempting thought doesn’t mean you’ve sinned. Jesus was tempted in all ways, but did not commit sin. He is our example.
Ephesians 4:24 “Put on the NEW man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
True holy living certainly means living free from sin. It can be done, not through our ownselves, but through the power of Jesus’ shed blood. He paid the price so we can be made new and our old life is gone. A true salvation experience is what many “Christians” have never really experienced. That’s why so many don’t think you can be free from the old sinful nature, but they can be.
I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from ALL sin.”
Why should He cleanse our sins and make us new creations if we can’t continue to stay free from that which he cleansed us of.
Galations 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us FREE, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
I John 3:9 “..Whosever is born of God doth not commit sin..”
John 8:11-12 “And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Jesus said “sin no more” after he forgave the woman. If its impossible to live free from sin, Jesus would not have said that.
The blood of Jesus (His sacrifice) is powerful enough to make us new and holy creatures. Anyone who denies this, simply is making an excuse for themselves to continue sinning because they desire the old fleshly worldly ways (and that includes many ministers and priests).
As far as abortion, I’ve never heard Angley say it wasn’t a sin. But, he focuses more on getting people saved so they won’t commit fornication (which is the primary cause of abortions). He focuses on helping the sinner find a new life in Christ. That way they can raise their children in the light of the Gospel. It’s better to prevent a problem (getting pregnant when you don’t want a child). This should be a greater focus for more ministers. If both abortion and fornication is a sin then it certainly makes since to prevent the fornication which will also prevent the abortion of the unwanted pregnancy in most cases.

I wish Rev.Angley would come right out and refute the rumors about him being prochoice,on his website, for example. It would clear up all these rumors and claims, and contrdicting stories being told.I agree with you, that it is far better to prevent the unwanted pregnancies in the first place. But that still doesn’t answer the question that I am seeking the answer to.
Luke St.Paul Carrington
23 Sep 08 at 1:40 am
What rumors? The few people that have asked that question on this site doesn’t make for a “rumor”. Besides, a person of his stature usually does not feel the need to address rumors. People like him are too busy to take time for such nonsense. Since no one has ever heard him say that he is pro-choice, then there is no rumor that he is. Besides, there were all kinds of rumors about Jesus, but he chose not to defend himself. I’m not “pro-choice, but I also don’t like fanatical anti-abortionists who are “holier than thou” and yet they commit other sins, but harp on others for their sins. It’s just stupid. Why should anyone have to answer a rumor. Waste of time to satisfy someone’s doubts. Read the Bible and see if a priest or minister is teaching the right things in the Bible and you’ll know them by their fruits, and then see if you are living up to the same Bible standard. I’m careful not to judge someone because I think they might have a speck in their eye and yet I might have a beam in mine that I need to address. Simple as that.

Real, holy ghost filled man of God really? Have you read youir bible recently? I hope there really is a Christian God, he has to have a fiery surprise for you idiots.
The doctrine of Christianity condemns laying up treasures on earth. The doctrine of Christianity asserts that it will be easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle than for one of these rich bastards to enter the kingdom of heaven. The doctrine of christianity warns against these people whould come preaching the word and laying claims in the name of Jesus, and assigns them to the synagogue of Satan. The fact that it is all there and yet idiots ignore it to pay homage to these religious pimps begs for another flood to drown the blasphemous multitude who shows up at those gatherings.

While I agree with Daniels about those type of evangelists who are getting rich not getting into Heaven, I believe, Ruel, that who haven’t studied enough about Angley and should not include him with the rest of the bad ones. He is reportedly one of the most frugal of all of them and takes no royalties from his own books, it all goes toward mission work. The local newspaper in his own hometown reported his salary as lower then average and lower then middle income in the United States. He also doesn’t own the home he lives in which is small anyhow, and owns no bank accounts. I have investigated him and other ministeries and Angley’s is known by the U.S. government as one of the most honest of all of them and always pays his bills wherever he travels to for mission work (unlike some ministers who come in to a country and don’t even pay their hotel bill, but skip out). Angley could live wealthy, but doesn’t. His ministry (not himself) does have a plane which is only used for missionary transport and transporting of humantarian aid and it is properly registered as such with examinations regularly and it’s usage publically tracked. It’s easy to stereotype evangelists as all the same because there have been and continue to be bad ones in it for the money. But, be careful about Angley. He is indeed one of the true ones who really has a heart for helping people and his works show for it, whether you believe in the Christian doctrine or not. When I see money being put to good use and see the results of people’s lives coming out for the better, as I’ve seen with his organization, then I applaud their work. When I see others not helping people and taking the money for themselves, then I like seeing them exposed for the frauds they are. Angley, from my own investigations, is the real deal and people are being helped. Let’s not fight against any organization that has it’s heart in the right place and is benefiting mankind in some way.

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned the fact that Ernest Angley has been accused of molesting numerous young children. If these accusations are true, the catholics have nothing on this guy.
I personally don’t believe a word of it, though. How could someone sin that way while professing to be God’s messenger without escaping God’s wrath? Surely that person woudln’t have lived the long and successful life Angley has.

Hey, did you here Harrison Ford is rumored to be gay? See, just me mention it is not enough to make it a rumor or a real accusation, even though I can accuse anyone of anything.
I did here there was a disgruntled former member of his church, who has since been exposed for adultery, and more, who was trying to accuse him of things which had no basis and she was basically thrown out of court. She was a trouble maker and a hypocrite, but the church and public found out about her. People like that are better of staying out of churches instead of hindering.

The abortion rumor is out there on a website called Law versus Holiness”Let me clarify my beliefs about Rev.Angley.I believe that he is 100% sincere, and that God does indeed heal people through him sometimes.I do not agree with alot of his teachings, but I do respect him as a man of integrity. If he is approving of abortion, and I’m not sure if this is the case..then I believe he is tragically wrong.A woman taking advice from him could end up making the worst mistake of her life, something that will haunt and torment her the rest of her life.

Dear Alease, have you never seen the law vs. holiness dude’s youtube postings? You’d have to agree after seeing those that he is fanatical and a bit “off”. I feel sorry for him and shall pray for him. Secondly, why are you paying attention to that kind of rumor instead of just listeing to Angley’s sermons and reading his books to get a better understanding of what he believes? The best way to understand someone is to actually read what they write and listen to what they are saying. I personally heard Angley speak about abortion just recently and he said how awful it would have been if his wife’s mother had had an abortion. He said that his father-in-law wanted her to have an abortion, but she refused because she was Holy Ghost filled and would never do that. Then her child was born which she named Esther. Esther became Ernest Angley’s wife. She is now deceased. So, I think you really need to study more about him and his teachings and life by reading his autobiography. It’s called “Hurry Friday”. It may be available on Amazon where some of his other books are also available, such as Raptured. God Bless!

(1) a feeling that things were crawling and bitting all over my body (2) things moving bitting wanting to destroy my tympanic membrane (3)Infertility Then I wrote to Evangelist Angley: He replied me almost immediately first, he knew that I had another name as I used my marital name that I had never used before Infact up till now I’m still using my maiden’s name Evangelist Angley prayed over an handkerchief and sent it to me. As soon as I pinned it to my cloth I became healed in the Ear immediately | though very ungrateful of me, I have never written or testified to the goodness of God through him, So I beg you not to say or write negative things about A MAN OF GOD after all when JESUS CHRIST was around many were healed, definitely not every body. Alese,
You seem to respect Reverend Angley very much, but have questions unanswered. Why don’t you just write the ministry with any and all questions. They answer right away and do as the other person suggested. You can learn much about what Reverend Angley believes and preaches and why with scripture to back it all up by just reading his books. “Hurry Friday” is a good book for an eye-opener to his beginnings, the ministry, his life, and will give you good insight. I’ve received too numerous miracles through this ministry. The AIDS miracles are real. 4 Children with AIDS were healed - Mavis Orphanage. It was televised and aired. I myself was in South America and one of the missionaries who visited AIDS orphanages. The children are precious. We took them God’s love.
Alese, read his books, listen to sermons. On his website: http://www.ernestangley.org look around and you will find a cassette tape list so long it would take you a long time to listen to them all, the tapes are so inexpensive, just $5.00, which covers material cost.
Write the ministry with your concerns and questions. God will most certainly help you if you truly want the truth for that’s all God offers is the truth. We must conform to what God wants, not the other way around. If God’s ways don’t fit us, then we must do the changing. It’s God’s opinion that counts, no ours. God is the final authority. God knows everything. There are cassettes on Opinions, Personalities, Sex and the bible, just to name a few. So much can be learned. I pray you get all your questions answered. Blessings, Marie

I skimmed your posting, but I don’t listen to people like you who are without feeling and are past feeling with God and who no doubt have blasphemed against the Holy Ghost, where there is no forgiveness in this live nor in the life to come, which means eternal hell. I’m not going to debate with you, because you are deceived by satan and are his child, a child of the devil. Nobody talks against a true servant and man of God and gets away with it. In hell, you will remember this posting and every filthy degraded lie that you’ve told about the true prophet of God, and you will be there hearing the echo of your words, but in hell, there’s no getting out. In hell, God won’t hear your cries, like the rich man’s cries, begging that Lazarus, whom he treated wrong in his life, to dip his finger in water that he may cool his tongue. There’s a real flame in hell and ugly demons that will torment you forever. Forever is a long, long time and just when you think it’s almost over, it just started again, and that cycle goes on and on and on for those that blasphemed true prophets of God in this life. I have no tolerance for those like yourself, who are filled through and through with hatred. Nothing you say here means anything to those of us that know you are deceived and that the devil and many demons are living inside your soul right now, and you are so deceived, you are not even aware of it. Just think, ugly demons, with eyes and teeth and ears that are hideous are living inside you. Nobody talks against my precious pastor whose given his life to serve people and help people find God. I am more qualified to speak on his behalf because I have seen his life up close. I have nothing more to say to you, except, hell is going to be very hot for those like yourself that have blasphemed and have tried to bring reproach on the most precious man I have ever met on this earth. You will one day scream the scream of the dammed in hell, but there will be no escape for you, and God will wipe you out of his memory. God can hate with holy hatred just as much as he can love. Calvary proves that. You think my speech here is strong, but what you have said, at least, the little I saw, speaks nothing but lies and the bible says, that ALL LIARS shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone.

The rich man was sorry then, but it was too late. In your eyes, what if I’m absolutely right? Remember, hell is forever and there is no way out ever. Jesus said we would be judged for even our idle words. I will no longer respond to any postings that you put up. God has moved on me to leave you be. No matter what you say, you will never get away from my words, in this life and the life to come. Funny stuff Marie, nice work, you fit the delusional mythology worshiper stereotype all too well.
I like this line: “No matter what you say, you will never get away from my words…”
I could care less about your words, I’ve heard it all before since it’s the same dogmatic garbage that gets regurgitated time and time again. Your “words” are just more judgmental garbage (according to Christianity it is NOT your place to judge me, hypocrite) from another blinded victim of extreme religiosity so deluded by myths as to arrogantly claim knowledge of me or who I am, and apparently you know “god’s plan” for everyone as well. What a joke you are. Go back to your bible and leave reality to the people that can handle it, you obviously can’t, sadly.

Have any of you ever been to one of Rev. Angley’s sevices??? Many of you seem to take on high authority what you read on websites of bloggers or reporters who have a biased opinion before they give their “reports”. I have been going to Rev. Angely’s church (Grace Cathedral) for 4 years now. I am born new, filled with the Holy Ghost, and have received too many miracles to count each one. One main miracle i can testify on is about 2 months ago, i was hit with a cold that had me coughing all day long for a week. I went up on his platform to get a healing for my voice which was gone, i couldn’t speak a word. He prayed for me in the name of Lord Jesus, and i felt the soreness drain down my throght. I walked off the platform able to talk again. Thats just one of many. Another thing is the disbelief about living free from all sin. It’s possible because I’ve done it. through the grace of God and guidance from the Holy Ghost, I am able to put flesh behind me and do the works of God daily. I was unsure about Rev. Angley too. but i came to his services with an open mind and found for myself that God truly exsists and he lives inside of Rev. Angley.

Apparently you don’t understand the power of the mind, if you really convince yourself that you believe something then it is possible for your body chemistry to react to some degree. That proven SCIENCE, not religion, and it’s still not proof of ‘miracles’ or ‘faith-healing’ and is exactly how Angley and his minions make their money and keep their scam going. If it works for you then great, personally I think it’s a huge load of crap and I think your being manipulated by one of the oldest scams around. You could probably accomplish the same thing by staunch belief in leprechauns, or unicorns, but it doesn’t make them real either. The so-called Reverend is just another scam-artist with an age old tool of manipulation via blind faith.
There sure are quite a few Angley apologists out there (and yes, I’ve seen Angley in action) and it really makes me wonder how far the brain-washing goes. It’s pretty scary actually to think that people still live in the stone-age and believe this stuff. To each their own I guess, it doesn’t effect me, but I do think it has a very serious deleterious effect on the poor nations that he goes to in order to fleece sick and desperate people; people dying of AIDS or other incurable diseases being manipulated into believing that they’re ‘healed’ and then further endangering others with the possibility of further spreading disease.
Angley is a sick and twisted little man (with a bad toupee, why can’t Jesus fix his hair? And what’s with the vanity?) and I only wish that more people would come to realize the scam that he’s running (and profiting from) and wake up to reality. That’s my hope, sadly there are still too many gullible people out there that just won’t learn. I say again, if there truly is a hell then it’s fires wait for people like Angley and those that further prosper his myths and lies. Best of luck to you, reality will be waiting when you finally do awaken from the delusion.

Reverend Angley is a real man of God. There is ample evidence of the healings and miracles; but, if you do not really want God, then you will not seek out the truth. For me, I have received three healings since my born-again experience. It’s all from faith in the blood of Jesus. Glory be to God! And, I thank Reverend Angley for sacrificing his life to deliver the real doctrine of Jesus to the people. It is practically impossible to find it anywhere else, insomuch as the world church is in a state of apostasy.
Regarding living free from sin, that is the only teaching that Jesus brought and taught; it is the new and living way. If you don’t live free from sin, then how were you ever born again? You would simply be the same old sinner.
Praise the name of Jesus! He is the light in this dark and dying world.

I didn’t read your devil puke, I’m putting this here for the benefit of those that are seeking God, the true and living God. I know where the man lives, he lives in a normal house like everyone else, which is the same house he’s lived in since he was married to Ester, his late wife. If he has millions, he isn’t using it for himself. He doesn’t even have a bank account of his own. Everything goes to the work of God. One introspection I can make about Joe Destruction is that if he hates Reverend Angley so much and continues to post the devil’s lies on this board, of which God will hold him responsible on the day of reckoning, then why does he bother? When people truly hate someone and hate everything about them, they just ignore them and those that are associated with them. They also want NOTHING to do with them. There’s a fascination there that he has about Reverend Angley that he is hiding on the inside. Another truth about Reverend Angley is that there is no scandal that surrounds him. They can’t find anything on him like they do the other preachers that actually do not live holy. Other main stream ministers actually are using the money and living high, committing fornication, and hurting people by being fakes. Reverend Angley doesn’t have this kind of scandal that the other ones do. The man is always here and NEVER NEVER NEVER takes a vacation nor has any desire to “retire.” He spends hours counseling people after spending 18 hour days in meetings and working and doing for God. I say this for all the people here so that they will see the truth about him. Joe Destruction, you are just fascinated by Reverend Angley, or you would just not bother. You reiterate the same devil puke each time and it is strong talk, but it’s devil puke that you spew forth. You are an instrument that the devil is using. Every accusation is heard by God and you will pay for it one day. The links are here for those that seek truth and you can’t do a thing about it. Truth is truth and truth will stand, God’s truth, when the world is on fire. Nothing you say will do anything, but strengthen this work. God let the man of God know that no man or devil will be able to destroy this work. That’s what God has to say. Your words here will fall upon deaf ears. There are plenty of people here that know that miracles are real. If you don’t believe in miracles than you don’t believe in God. Just keep responding because we all know how truly fascinated you are with Reverend Angley because you want to keep talking about him and talking what you do. If you truly hated him, you wouldn’t even bother. You hide behind your computer, but God knows what is really going on although you tried to hide it from those of us here that have commented in favor of Reverend Angley on the forum. Reverend is a true prophet of God. He prays continuously and fasts 40 day water fasts, so many, that he’s lost count. That’s why he has the power of God like he does. God taught us through him that there are three steps into God’s greatness in this last and final hour and it is as follows: PRAYER, FASTING, AND LIVING IN THE WORD OF GOD. These steps followed over and over will take anyone that desires, into God’s greatness. I love the true prophet of God, I tithe to this ministry which is not something Reverend told me to do, but it’s in obedience to the WORD OF GOD. No one can talk against the word of God, it’s all truth and no false. The devil is the one who is deceived and those that talk like him and act like him.

Joe, If man can’t heal AIDS, what makes you believe that belief in “a unicorn” as you put it, will make your body chemistry change and heal you of AIDS? Thats ridiculous. You want to think science has all the answers but it doesn’t, only God does. Thats wwhy the only cure for AIDS is through God. Rev. Angley has documented proof of it. So Joe, I challange you, if you are able (or willing) come to a friday night service, our miracle service, and ask God, not Rev. Angley to prove Himself to you. He will not fail you. Thats how i came into this Jesus ministry, I asked GOD to prove himself, and he did when he saved my soul and the burden on my shoulders was lifted off of me. God will give that to you too, but you have to have an open mind, at least for one day.

HolyFireBurning,
Well put. The only medical science Reverend Angley is using is the proof that AIDS is being cured. As Reverend puts it, For those that don’t believe that God heals AIDS, they are now documenting the cases, “through medical science.” Using science to prove that prior they HAD AIDS or whatever disease, and then using medical science to show the results after prayer or use of the blest cloth, that indeed the person no longer has this disease, whatever that disease may be, including and not excluding AIDS or whatever death disease or any disease. In African nations, as was explained very well by another forum poster, they have a law that no one can advertise healing for AIDS unless they have medical documentation. Mavis’ Orphanage, there were at least three children that were abandoned at her orphanage, and all four had AIDS, then Mavis went to the crusade and was pulling in her heart for these children. Mavis used to be a tavern owner in that nation and God was dealing with her. She got rid of the tavern and started an orphanage. She found God, or rather God saved her. She is very devout before God and loves those children with all her hearts. If you only knew how they were abandoned. I have the details if anyone wants to know. God cares and loves those children and he made a way through Mavis so they could get the love and help they needed. Mavis came to the crusades, as I said, pulling for these children in her heart and through the gifts operating in Reverend Angley’s life, this is an excerpt of the actual program that aired from a crusade where Mavis testified about her experience with this ministry, and the events leading to the children’s miracles:
>> PASTOR MAVIS: BUT THAT, BUT THAT NIGHT, THAT NIGHT…PASTOR SAID, “AMONG YOU, THERE’S A WOMAN…
“WHO HAVE GOT FOUR CHILDREN. THOSE CHILDREN HAVE GOT HIV-POSITIVE. THOSE CHILDREN ARE HEALED!” I SAID, “YES, IT’S ME! “NO WOMAN HAS GOT FOUR CHILDREN WHO HAVE GOT AIDS, EXCEPT MAVIS!” I SAID, “LORD, THEY ARE HEALED, THEY ARE HEALED OF AIDS! THEY ARE HEALED!” I CLAIMED IT, I STOOD; I STOOD IN THE MIDDLE, FIGHTING FOR THEM! AND I TELL YOU, AFTER SOME TIME, I TOOK THE CHILDREN TO THE CLINIC. I SAID, “CAN YOU TEST THESE CHILDREN?” “PLEASE TEST THIS…THIS ONE, PLEASE.” THEN, THEY FOUND THERE’S NOTHING. AND THEN TO THIS ONE…THERE IS NOTHING. THEY WENT TO THIS ONE…THERE’S NOTHING. THEY WENT TO THIS ONE…THERE’S NOTHING!
I SAID, “YES! THAT IS HOW I KNOW MY JESUS! HE ALWAYS ANSWERS PRAYERS.” YOU CAN BE HEALED, TOO.”
These are the words of Mavis. Miracles for AIDS is real, real, real. The bible says this about UNBELIEF:
“For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar
Romans 3:3
This scripture says a lot. It’s just like the coming of Jesus for his jewels, the bride, who will be without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. He’s coming soon and people scoff and laugh and mock about it, but the mocks and laughter will soon be turned to naked fear and dread:
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
II Peter 3:3,4
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luke 21:25,26
You see, it doesn’t matter what MAN thinks. If it’s not in line with GOD’S WORD, then it’s worthless. People can hate and scoff all they want to, but in the end, if they don’t repent, they will be sorry, but it will be too late. In closing, doesn’t this scripture sound just like the world today? These are the end times, we are right smack in the middle of it right now. People are going to make their final decision for or against God. Once you make that decision with free choice that God gave to you, it will one day be sealed with no way to change it.
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
II Timothy 3:1-5
These are the end times, this isn’t my words, these are the words of God in HIS BIBLE.
blessings,
Marie.

Give me a fucking break!! You idiots cherry pick verses from the bible in order to butress your infatuation with these religious conmen. I hope revelations is true, because if it is, you and all of these fucking religious pimps will burn like gasolene.
The Christian tenet demand that all who go forth preaching the word should shed the trappings of materiality. Look at how these fucking evangelist live. You people either cannot read and understand what your scripture says, or you are so damn deceitful that you ignore those parts that demand a standard you are too cowardly to maintain. What a bunch of babbling idiots you are.

I didn’t have to actually read the filth in the previous post, but perhaps a word or two, and then, the devil was cursing through this person. Did you know that when people do that, they have what is called a cursing devil? The power of life and death is in the tongue and I don’t condemn you, but the bible does. You are taken over by the devil to utter things like you do. We don’t care to hear it. The rich man died and in hell he lifted up his eyes, the bible says. When Peter got away from the Lord, he CURSED and denied ever knowing Jesus. Later he repented and wept bitterly. At the time Peter cursed and lied and denied Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, he backslid and almost was the Judas; but he repented. What do you think hell will be like for you? You can say anything you want, it’s free choice now, but you may have already blasphemed against the Holy Ghost and there is no forgiveness for that. You would be the walking dead on this planet and God is done with you. God said in his word that His spirit would not always strive with man. God says what he means and means what he said. The bible is the INFALLIBLE word of the living God. You have free choice up to a point, and then there will be no more free choice in hell. Whatever your bondages were here on earth, will be the same in hell. If you were a rapist, you will have all those demons in hell with that ungodly craving. If you were a murderer, you will crave to murder and can’t fulfill it. If you were full of cursing devils and fornication, then in hell, that’s what you will have, those desire, that cursing, but there will be no happiness, only hate, and torment. The rich man wanted Lazarus to dip his finger in a cup of water to cool his tongue for he said, “I am tormented in this flame.” …but there was no way Lazarus could help him then. That rich man has been living in hell now for a couple thousand years and starting today, his torment and punishment for the life he lived on this earth, is just beginning. Two million earth years from now, his punishment will still be just beginning, and the torture goes on and on and on. The Lord let Reverend Angley know through these services that God told him this: (God speaking here): “I can love just as much as I can hate.” There’s bible for that, as well:
PROVERBS 1:26-31
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
AND PSALMS 1:6
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Think about how much God can love. God gave ALL, ALL, ALL of his love when he gave us Calvary. Jesus was willing to do the will of the father. Come from glorious heaven to be treated like dirt and rejected of most men. That’s ALL of God’s love. Now turn the tables and think of how much HOLY hatred God has for those that mock his true servants, and lie against the truth of God, as they have done here and everywhere on planet earth.
The bible is my authority and the bible talks about liars in a terrible way. You have lied about Reverend Angley, and here is what the bible says about YOU:
REVELATION 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Notice the word of God says, ALL LIARS. That includes little white lies and purple lies, ALL LIARS will go to hell.
Amen, my soul is delivered today. Praise the Lord forever!

The devil’s thoughts in the previous posting
vs.
What GOD has to say about things….
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

These people just won’t give up, they’re so brainwashed and will only answer ANYTHING sensible or objective with more religious rhetoric while ignoring the initial point. All they can do is quote the bible and rant on about these so-called miracle, with of course ZERO PROOF to back any of it up.
They keep telling me I have a ‘fascination’ with Angley, meanwhile I just get the same email notification that they get and laugh at their inane and largely insane ramblings. Obviously, they have a fascination with anyone that doesn’t believe what they believe and just can’t stop preaching their brand of religious extremism in order to convince themselves that they have some sort of moral high-ground. They’ve even admitted that they won’t read what others write here because those saying anything against Angley must be ‘driven by the devil’ just because they point out what a fraud Angley is. Is this really the 21st century? Driven by the devil? Unbelievable.
So yes, I do have a fascination with responding, because I’m fascinated that anyone can be so stupid, naive, and brainwashed as to really believe in Angley or other extremist religious scam-artists like him. And I find it extremely amusing (in a sad way) that there are still so many Angley apologists out there still being mislead all these years later. A pretty sad legacy to leave behind, manipulating the sick and weak-minded while prospering an agenda of religious intolerance and extremism. Pretty damn sad.
Listen to the story at the beginning of this video and get a nice example of Angley’s version of Christian charity. Wishing people that don’t like him dead and all, very Christian! What a joke:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sJ1EGyXFcY
Also, just about any Google search of Angley’s name reveals quite a number of articles about Angley’s trickery over the years. Anyone actually willing to look will see what a sad piece of trash Angley and his so-called ministry really is.

Even if someone proved it all, you still wouldn’t believe. Reverend Angley is a true prophet of God. I will stay with the Lord’s despised few. They hated Jesus, and Jesus said they would hate us. The Lord was hated so much that audacious men finally killed him. They were jealous of him, and this is the same thing. I will NEVER give up, no matter if I had to lay my life on the line. I thought about it today, that it’s coming to that end. How far will I stand for the truth - even if I had to die for it. That’s how much I know Reverend Angley is a true prophet of God. He helped me when I came here and helped me to pick the pieces up of my life. I grew up in terrible abuse. I thought I was saved, but people who are really saved live holy. I didn’t know any better. Now I know better.
Google is nothing but a search to find accusers and that’s what people will find, accusers. You have a filthy mind and I’ve finished with you for good. The bible says evil men shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. You will go to hell unless you get right with God. This has nothing to do with Reverend Angley. He is about the only preacher that stands for truth, the rest compromise. Why don’t you do some research on Benny Hinn and the others that actually have been found to be fakes and only out for the money. How come our ministry is known for paying our bills in foreign countries but the others leave hotel bills unpaid and do all kinds of harm. In Africa, the one main preacher puts a canopy around him so that the Africans won’t touch him, because he fears getting aids. Reverend Angley isn’t like that at all. He lays hands on people and prays for them. If he didn’t care about people and was for real, he could have been rich just from the royalties of his books, but he doesn’t take any money for his books, On the mission field we give them books while other ministries charge for literature. They cannot afford it. People go on long fasts before they go, including Reverend Angley, but you only accuse. You are sick in your mind and soul. Nothing good comes from your mind. I’m finished with talking to the devil’s mouthpiece. I have better things to do. The bibles says, Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. Jesus said they persecuted him and they will persecute us. This is bible. It’s not Reverend Angley that you hate, it’s Jesus Christ. I’m here to tell you that Jesus Christ doesn’t like you either. The bible says, “he that committeth sin is of the devil.”

Marie, I’ve enjoyed your comments and biblical references. It’s guys like ‘Joe Destructing Himself’ who actually help bring more attention to Christianity and those seeking reality to investigate and end up finding God is real. Those who persecuted the early church disciples actually helped cause the Gospel to spread. Those who believe there is a God have no problem believing that God can heal anything including AIDS. Jesus said, “Is anything impossible for God” and “All things are possible to him that believeth.” I haven’t been back on this little site for a while, but Marie’s comments caught my attention. So, I must thank Joe the self proclaimed Destructor of Whatever for helping bring Marie’s wisdom onto this little blog. I actually wonder if he really intended to rile up Christians to begin a chat on here. Sort of reverse psychology maybe. Genius. Anyhow, I was once a doubter too, but thank God I’ve seen and experienced for myself that there is a true minister of God who lives the way he preaches, isn’t out to get rich, and IS helping people around the world. I’ve seen the evidence. The man isn’t hurting anyone just like Jesus didn’t hurt anyone. But, they killed Jesus anyhow because they hated what he stood for. Angley’s used to persecution. It seems to give him even more zeal. Those who are really looking for truth will find it and realize the haters aren’t helping anyone in this world. What do they do to help humanity? All they do is try to tear down instead of giving people help. So sad. I think most of the haters either haven’t really investigated enough or they really can’t stand what the Bible stands for and its message. They don’t want to serve a Supreme Being, but have more confidence in their own soon-to-be-dead-in-a-few-decades decaying body. Anyhow, it was an interesting discussion and I’m sure the honest hearted are grateful to see attention being brought the real subject of belief in God, supernatural power and faith as well as God’s ways of using people and those who will obey Him so He can bless them.

marie you are an ass. Proverbs is in the old testament and not part of the doctrine of Christianity which these religious pimps claim to be their foundation. That is why they san fool idiots like you. The Christian creator warned people to be cautious of those who beat on their chest and pray loudly in the streets so others my hear and equate their noise with true belief, or words to that effect. Jesus also ruled that no one who go out preaching the word and converting sinners should receive monetary rewards, or words to that effect. The only thing more idiotic than your facile representation is the jargon in which you peddle it.
Read the nonsense this idiot who claims to be a believer puts out here. She does not even recognize tghe difference between judaic text and Christian text. THe doctrine of Christianity you fool was delivered to the multitude from the mount, and it is encased in the new tetament of the bible. It also has a rule. It says that it is easier for to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a religious pimp to enter the kingdom of heaven. Maybe if you spent more time reading what you should and less time listening to idiots and pimps who are enjoying their heaven on earth by collecting from idiots like you. you would understand more and make more sense. These people will never give up. They are possessed with a self-righteous ‘morality’ that forbids anything outside of their narrow view of reality, and it’s a very narrow view. They attempt to accuse me simply for speaking my mind about someone who has been proven time and time again to be a fraud; they attempt to demonize me and anyone that doesn’t agree with their close-minded philosophy as being somehow the ‘voice of the devil’ and other such nonsense; they’re simply ridiculous and without merit, a perfect example of religious extremism and intolerance, certainly not like the average religious people that I’ve known that can accept the beliefs of others without JUDGMENT. (I guess they forgot that part of the ‘message’ in their erstwhile attempts to demean others.) These people are almost religious bigots, if it doesn’t fit in with their wacky ideas then it is THE DEVIL and a mockery! What a joke, a sad and pathetic joke.
One thing I’ve learned in coming back to this page (for a good laugh and a shake of the head in disbelieve) is that religious extremism and zealotry are still alive and well, and sadly Angley and his group of apologists still exist all these years later. That’s just a sad fact. Those of us who occasionally start to believe that the human race is moving forward and moving past the divisions of extreme religion and cultural hatred need only look at many of the comments on this page to be reminded that those issues are still alive and kicking. Not that that’s really a huge surprise, but it is a sad fact. But make no mistake, they are becoming the minority, and will continue be so as people evolve and see past the lies and moral fables (not all of which are bad on the surface, it’s the literalistic types that ruin the good moral ‘tale’ and lesson garnered by the average [i.e. not extremist] religious follower.)
Some people here claim that I’m bringing ‘more attention to the gospel’ but fail to realize that all they are doing is furthering the stereotypes of extremist Christianity and religious zealotry more than anything else, not to mention being apologists for a many-times-over proven fraud and scam-artist. If these apologists were smart (big IF) they would have shut up long ago, but since their empty-little-lives require a narrow framework in order to keep them sane and docile (questioning and seeking knowledge are the devil!) they will never give up, convinced that they somehow have the moral-high road regardless of any facts to the contrary. They will continue to spew their ‘morals’ on others while madmen like Angley and his flock of zealots continue to clean up and manipulate the sick, weak-minded, and desperate. That’s probably the saddest part of this lesson, others suffer for their actions as they enable people like Angley to be taken seriously at the risk of those believing they’re ‘healed’ by his little dog and pony show. Christians they are not, just more arrogant extremists convinced that they have all the answers in the universe and following someone that has brainwashed them to believe so; they lack the tolerance, acceptance, and forgiveness that Jesus spoke of, as a matter of fact they even speak for god in damning others that disagree with them. Not only asinine but hypocritical as well. Truly sad but not anything new (but again still good for a laugh.)
I’ll post this link again as I think it bears repeating. Listen to just how ‘Christian’ Angley is in this clip, and keep in mind that this was said live during one of his ’shows’ so it’s easily verifiable, I’ve actually heard the original recording that is mentioned in this clip. Super creepy, enjoy:

Joe,
We are not self righteous. We are belivers. We believe because we have seen and felt God’s power. If you felt what we have felt, you would believe too. Our only goal is to vanquish these false thoughts to show what God truly is. God is not based on the propaganda of christian haters. God is based on his word, the Bible. Millions of people accross the globe no not know the whole truth of God, a large percentage don’t even know who Jesus Christ is. As christians our mission is to take Jesus to a lost and dying world. what they do after that is their own choice. You seem to be making your choice, but the burden of prayer has not lifted from me yet, so you must be at least curious.
If you truly want to know once and for all, you must give God at least a try. If you don’t get the satisfaction your looking for, then the choice is yours. But i firmly believe that if you put your whole heart into finding the truth, God will prove himself to you, as he did with me. I dare say that 90% of christians today we’re once sinners til God proved himself to them. The others we’re raised in Jesus ministries where God no doubt proved himself to them as they grew up. I know you don’t believe Rev. Angley is a man of God, but if you truly seek God, you won’t need mans help to find Him. All you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart, casting aside any differences you may have toward God. I prayed for a week (the first time i ever prayed in my life i might add) saying ‘God, if your real, prove yourself to me’ and when the chance was given to me, i took it, not letting anything stand in my way. I was gloriously saved that night. PRAISE JESUS!! God had proven himself and i was satisfied. I have been God’s ever since, not Rev. Angley’s. He is my pastor, but my heart is God’s.
You know what site to go to if you want to take God up on his offer.

Holyfireburning you are typical of those Christ warned people to beware of. Anyone who walks about wearing their religion on their sleaves and using it to elevate themselves disproportionately above others fit that description. Beating on your chest and and shouting Lord Lord ain’t gonna get you into the Kingdom of Heaven. In fact your representation of Reverend Angley is contrary to the very tenets of Christianity.
Now let me show this board what a blithering hypocrite you are. I dare you to pick out anything in the doctrine of Christianity that comports with the life style of preachers like Angley. I will go through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and present verse after verse that conflict with their model of those the Lord described would be carrying his message.

Ruel, you really don’t know Angley’s lifestyle or you wouldn’t have made that comment. You’re probably confusing him with people like Benny Hinn. Many have mistakenly done just that. Benny Hinn lives in a mansion and lives a lux lifestyle. Angley lives in a small old house that he paid about 40,000 for. That is extremely cheap in the United States for a home. He also doesn’t accept royalties from his books. He could be rich just from his books. He has no bank accounts. He takes no vacations. His wife died years ago, and he never moved out of the house they lived in. His ministry has assets it uses to spread not only Christianity, but also humanatarian assistance. His ministry, through donations, supports other ministries around the world including orphanages, prison ministries and rehabilitation ministries. His ministry is reportedly one of the most upstanding according to the U.S. government and other governments. That’s why nations invite him into their countries while they tell others, like Benny Hinn, to stay out. Bahamas banned Benny Hinn from ever coming back.
As far as Christianity only being based on the new testament, that is not correct. Yes, Jesus brought the new and living way, but even he quoted from the old testament. Also, the vulgar name calling you’ve used suggests that you don’t even believe in Christianity so it is strange to me that you would try commentation on the subject. But, it does show readers who you are and for that I applaud your willingness to be frank. You and others may certainly not agree on Angley’s character or on his method of preaching and praying for the sick (the Great Commission), but at least this discussion among a very small handful of little bloggers, myself included, has brought up differences and allowed readers to explore. I do think the name calling is a bit emotionally angry and not really constructive.

And the delusional Angley worshipers (and apologists) are still ranting, not a big surprise. Of course meanwhile oblivious to the fact that they are enablers of a man (and his ‘flock’) that manipulate desperate and sick people through fear (and for a ‘donation’ of course) and by focusing and using their desperation. Sadly, it’s not atypical of the fundamentalist types to rationalize such scum as Angley while trying to justify it as being good for society. Anyone with a clue knows that it’s just extremist nonsense used and abused to prosper an agenda (and a profit I’m sure.)
I also notice that these so-called “people of god” have very little tolerance for criticism of religion, or extremist religion in Angley’s case, more aptly trickery and manipulation. Pretty pathetic, they don’t even practice what they preach, literally, when it comes to the ‘tolerance’ message of their supposed religion. Anyone that justifies Angley is just another loser on the lowest rung of society enabling a twisted old man who preys on the weak and the ill to continue to do so.
They may believe whichever fairy tales they choose to, but when it really comes down to it they only cling to their tales (and false heroes like Ernest Angley) out of fear, a way to rationalize what may be frightening to them, or beyond explanation. That is exactly what drives most of these people crazy, they just can’t handle the fact that maybe not every potential question in the universe has an exact and definable answer, certainly not all easily explainable via an ancient religious/mythological text (all of which claim to be the ‘one true’ book by the way.) Instead they allow religion to fill that unanswerable hole for them, meanwhile of course denying the tangible reality around them and missing out on the complexity and diversity of life and the universe around us. It’s actually rather sad, and I’ve realized over time that all of their attempts to ‘help’ others are really just sad cries for help from people that have been themselves victims of manipulators much like the so-called Reverend Angley and extremist mythology/ideology/religion. Sad, sad, sad… what can ya say? The sad thing is that Angley is still around and continuing the scam at the expense of those he claims to be ‘helping’ with his parlor tricks. What a waste of life.

Holyfireburning the handle you chose to blog under and y adorning yourself with the label of Christian is equivalent to beating on your chest and crying” Lord Lord”.
A christian is someone who walks in the footsteps of christ. There is a great difference between a Christian and a believer. Unless your righteousness exceeds that of Saul and all the others who gave up their wordly possesions to walk like Christ, you are just one more heady idiot reading the bible and failing in comprehending the context of the Christian message.
Your proselytizing in this blog is no different than the scribes and Pharisees of long ago whose relationship to Christianity was more about symbolism and less about substance. You guys are the biggest hypocrites there are, because you pi8ck up the idiocy dispensed to the too lazy to read and understand by people like Angley, and then come on forum like these with the expectation that everyone here does the same thing.
Again, You do not have the authority to proclaim yourself a Christian. That honor can only be bestowed upon mankind by the founder of Christianity, and he would surely whip the lot of you if he came and discovered that you had usurped a power that is inherently his.

The fact that holeyfire burning accepts King James version of the holy bible as the authentic voice of Christianity shows what a little ignoramus this person really is. King James comes from a long line of White British tyrants who plundered the resources of the third world, human and material, for the benefit of that 93000 square mile island empire. The foreword proclaims King James as annointed by the almighty to rule over mankind.
Idiots like holyfireburning who follow current day “Jim Jones” like Angley are ripe for the pickings by these religious pimps because they cannot read, and have no abstract capability to suss out people like Angley. I hope Angely pushes it in good when they are prostrated and bending over ready to receive the holy pole in their front or rear sweet holes.

I want to make something clear. I was asking if it is true that Rev.Angley said that it is alright to have an abortion-because I came across a website which says that he teaches that.I,personally, have never heard him say that.I do know that he teaches that life begins at birth, not at conception.I do not want to slander this man of God in any way.I just wanted to know if Rev.Angley actually thought abortion is not a sin.If he never said this, then I apologize for bringing it up.If it is true, then I believe he is terribly wrong about this.

Ah Alease, don’t feel bad in thinking that there is a possibility that Angley is a douche bag and a hypocrite, anyone with any brain at all realizes that. He is no ‘man of god’ beyond using it for his own personal agenda. It is simple, Ernest Angley’s ministry has destroyed families through the things he teaches/preaches. I know first hand. He has told male members to get a vasectomy for it is the end of times and God does not want us to multiply. (not bibilical anywhere, only prophesied through his church)
He didn’t go to his own Brothers funeral because he didn’t think he was a Christian. He stated this in one of his books. (this is not a very christian things to do). he teaches to seperate from people who are not christians, (Jesus actually is seldomly seen with Christians/Believers in the Bible)
He teaches the Holy Ghost is required to make the rapture, (not biblical anywhere). The holy Ghost / Speaking in Tongues is a Gift according to several scriptures in the Bible.
He plasters his picture and books all over his church and about 8 offerings are taken up before he preaches. Figure that out for me???
He is a nice man, I honestly believe his intentions are sincere, but his faith has changed true biblical teachings. I feel when his wife died many years ago, he looked to Jesus as a companion and that is his only lifeline, (physically). Spiritually Jesus should be our only lifeline.
I would only look to God and his son Jesus for truth, in his holy word.
…..and by the way abortion is a sin. In the book of Jeremiah God tells him that he knew him before he was conceived in the womb. We are all known before we are conceived. Abortion is murder in Gods eyes.
CK
12 Feb 09 at 4:03 pm
CK is full of misinformation and delusional statements. First of all, I also know first hand that he helps bring families together and helps mend marriages when both really want to serve God and love each other and be faithful. He’s helped our family sooo much! Also, he has never said we are not permitted to have children, but even has an excellent Sunday school for children, dedicates babies, honors mothers and fathers each year and promotes responsibly bringing children into the world, but only if the married couple is Godly. Otherwise, he promotes birth control to PREVENT unwanted pregnancies. He believes that vasectomies are acceptible in God’s eyes, but NEVER teaches that it is mandatory. CK’s impression of this man is highly flawed and I’m correcting his/her false statements (of course CK will believe what he/she wants because they probably didn’t want to live free from sin and that is why they don’t like Angley’s teachings). As far as the Bible teaching to seperate from those who would influence you to do wrong, Angley does follow the Bible’s advice on that. He does not say that you are not to reach out in love to the sinner. That’s what his ministry is all about (duh). That’s why he is an evangelist, because he seeks to show sinners that God loves them and has a purpose for their life.
Also, I just was in his church last weekend and didn’t see any posters of his books “plastered” anywhere as CK stated. He has a book store in the back where visitors can get his books, sermons or Gospel music if they want.
There are NOT 8 offerings, as CK has falsely stated. Angley gives everyone the opportunity to give their tithes then later in the service he offers the opportunity for people to give a free will love offering to help with outreach programs and missionary work. Two offering times as the bible teaches “tithes and offerings”. He sometimes will take time to allow people to donate books and Bibles for missionaries to take with them to other nations.
Yes, he certainly teaches that the Bible states over 30 different reasons why a Christian must have the Holy Ghost baptism in order for them to have power to be changed and raptured when Jesus returns. This is where CK and I completely differ on what the Bible teaches. Angley’s booklet titled “30 Bible Reasons Why You Must have the Holy Ghost to Make the Rapture” is something everyone needs to read if they are really interested in what Angley actually teaches concerning this subject.
Also, concerning Ernest Angley’s older brother. His brother was an alcoholic, but in his later years Ernest Angley was able to help his brother (he would come to his crusade services in the south) and his older brother eventually gave his heart to the Lord and Ernest Angley continues to talk about how glad he is that he knows his brother is in heaven.
I’m not trying to convince CK of anything, because their mind is closed on this. I’m correcting this blantant misinformation presented by CK on behalf of readers of this blog. I’ve read all Ernest Angley’s books and studied his sermons and compared what he teaches with what I know is in the Bible and have not found discrepancies. I take every preacher’s statements to the Bible to see if they are teaching correctly. I don’t blindly follow any one minister. I follow Christ and when I hear truth preached, as I do with Ernest Angley, I listen, study and rejoice. God bless!

Wow, something that I can agree with the so-called reverend on? How nice of him to condone birth control for us (welcome to the 20th century, by the way it’s the 21st century now.) Maybe if more of his wacko followers started using more birth control they start dying off over time instead of breeding and dragging innocent children into their wacky and far out extremist lifestyle.
I could care less about what anyone wants to think about Christianity, the average non-extremist religious person, or theology/mythology in general, but anyone that thinks Ernest ‘the bad toupee’ Angley is anything other than a scam-artist really needs to wake up. If he really believed half of the complete horse-crap that comes out of his mouth I’d be surprised (and frightened.) It’s scary to think that people believe most of the garbage at all but it’s fairly obvious that Angley’s act is all for show (and profit, not prophet) and has little to do with reality. Come on people, wake up! A little objectivity (and realism) is required (or should be) and it’s a waste of time clinging to a dottering old fool who manipulates the sick and weak-minded (and who has a bad rug, Jesus can’t seem to heal his baldness or his vanity in needing a rug.)
Reality will still be waiting for those delusional Angely worshipers when the time comes and the fraud is revealed (or the nitwit bites the dust, though I’m sure there are plenty of other scammers in his ‘church’ to take over.) WAKE UP!

Hell, if he gets wasted enough it might even bring him back to reality, but since he’s been delusional for so long that’s probably not going to work. Just the delusional rantings of his creepy followers is enough to convince me that the guy is whacked.
Also, the only thing I’m jealous of is the gobs of money that these losers get by screwing over sick people. Makes me wish I’d have thought of such a good scam. Brothers, sisters, countrymen, (non-morons), ignore the DELUSIONAL rantings of the extremist MYTHOLOGY worshipers and their side-show FREAK Angley. Angley’s freak show is all just part of yet another SCAM, a SCAM fueled by fairy tales and fear of the unknown, a scam that manipulates the weak and the done by a man (and his groupies) that deserve no respect for their dishonesty (or extreme ignorance) and regardless of what theology you choose to believe or disbelieve these people are extremist zealots. Those that defend Angley and his trickery are just enablers; as sorry as they think they feel for us ‘non-believers’ I feel much worse for their lack of objectivity or realistic grip on the universe that surrounds them. They fear the unknown and cling to simplistic and ancient moral fables in order to give themselves a (FALSE) sense of security against a life they are unable (or unwilling) to explain in practical or tangible terms. It’s all really quite sad, the best that we can hope is that they someday wake up from the daydream, see the error of their ways, embrace logic and truth. But, the more I read here the more I fear it is probably too late for some of the severely brainwashed extremists. What a shame… but life goes on and they are quickly becoming the minority as people gain education and common sense.

Out there? Perhaps, but I just like to have fun, and certainly poke fun at worthy target like the scumbags at Angley ‘Ministries’ and their followers/enablers.
As far as my opinion on god(s) goes I believe that the entire ‘God’ concept is flawed. It is merely a human desire to explain the unexplainable via a simplistic moral fable. Also, the reason that I posted here has nothing to do with the average religious person that practices whatever they choose to practice without forcing their views on others via pressure and/or guilt. I posted here regarding religious extremists, in this particular case a religious extremist that is probably only ‘religious’ for the sake of fostering an industry and making a profit. Someone that preys on the fears and emotions of people that are sick and desperate is not worthy of respect from anyone religious or not. Again, nothing to do with the average religious person, or even my personal beliefs, it’s all about extremism, brainwashing, and predatory manipulation for the sake of keeping a so-called ministry in business. Period, nothing more.
Good luck on your project there Chick, whatever it is, and remember that most organized religion is man-made and has little to do any sense of the ‘great beyond’ or a ‘higher power’ etc. It’s all about power, and of course money equals power in far too many cases.

Mike Oppenheimer has done an in depth study of Rev.Angley’s beliefs. You can see it on a discernment website called “Let Us Reason.” I believe that Mr.Angley is 100% sincere, and because of that,Jesus does heal through his ministry,at times. However, many of Rev.Angley’s teachings are strange, unorthodox and dangerous to believers. His teachings have put so many under condemnation and legalism. He tewaches that human life begins at birth,at the baby’s first breath.I know this for a fact, because I wrote him a letter, and he wrote back.Amazingly,he will personally write back to you,in spite of the size of his ministry. He truly loves God,with all his heart.he is a good and loving man.He is also teaching some very false doctrine.I understand why his followers defend him,he is a wonderful person-not the evil charlatan people try to make him out to be.Just like Mother Angelica, the nun who started EWTN,he loves Jesus…but unwittingly teaches false doctrine.Check out the Let us Reason website to see what I mean about false doctrine,it will open your eyes.

Well Aaron, in the interest of fairness and diplomacy I attempted to look at the site you mention but I found nothing about Angley. I even did a search via the page itself but nothing came up. Any direct link to it?
Also, I can appreciate that you believe what you believe even if I completely disagree with it. For that matter who knows what Angley really believes, but from what I’ve seen of him (some of it first-hand) the man is a manipulator of the highest kind, preying on the fears and weaknesses (or illnesses) of others in order to prosper his agenda (in whatever warped form that may be.) I don’t know that he’s ‘evil’ per se but there is no question that he’s extremist and dangerous in terms of giving sick people false hope (of course for a donation if you choose!) That’s my biggest issue with him, that and the fact that he prospers a rather extremist and literal (i.e. intolerant) view of his religion.
Please post a link, I’d be interested to see what this ‘investigation’ reveals, though I did notice that it’s a religious site so I’m sure they’ll have their own take on the whole deal as well. It seems like getting varying religious groups to agree is almost more difficult than getting atheists and religious-types to find common ground. That’s what happens when a literal and intolerant stand it taken as there is, in their minds, no room for argument or disagreement.

I’m quite familiar with ‘Let Us Reason Ministries’ site and unfortunately it is of itself filled with some false doctrine. I’m sure the person who runs the site means well, but they don’t have as much understanding of Biblical doctrine as they think they do. First of all, they don’t believe a person speaks with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance when the Holy Spirit baptizes a believer as the book of Acts teaches (and not just in Acts 2:4, but also in other places it occured throughout the book of Acts). This is one of the main issues they had with Ernest Angley. He believes a true Christian that is living holy has the Spirit of God with them, but they don’t have the actual in-filling of the Spirit, or the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, until the initial evidence of speaking in a different language (that they don’t know) by the Spirit (not speaking at will, but He speaks). Another false teaching of ‘Let Us Reason’ is that God doesn’t use angels on earth in this present time to touch people, look after people, give strength or direction. I know people (some of them who didn’t even believe in Angley’s ministry and watched to see what he was like) that actual saw an angel standing beside Angley, which verified what Angley has stated. Even when Jesus was working upon the earth an angel would stir up the waters at a pool and sick people would be healed if they were in the water. God works however He wants to and through whomever He wants to: angels or humans. An angel stood beside Paul on a ship during a storm to reassure him that no one would die - he saw the angel. That was after Jesus had already been resurrected. ‘Let Us Reason’ site claims angels were no longer working with man after Calvary, but that is false doctrine. ‘Let Us Reason Ministries’ also claimed that Angley said that a person can’t be saved if they don’t have the Baptism of the Spirit, but that information is incorrect - Angley never stated that (I’ve read all his books). ‘Let Us Reason Ministries’ doesn’t believe a Christian must have the Holy Ghost baptism in order to have power to be changed and raptured alive when Jesus returns, even though there are many scriptures in the Bible which points to that very fact. Study the parable of the 10 virgins Matt. 25:1-13. Virgin refers to those who are living pure lives as Christians, but 5 of them didn’t have oil (a symbol of the Holy Ghost) in their lamps (souls) and were left. I take everything a minister teaches to the Bible to see if it matches and unfortunately, I’ve seen many flaws in ‘Let Us Reason Ministries’ due to his lack of understanding he would have if he received the Holy Ghost baptism, but he doesn’t believe that so he doesn’t interpret the Scriptures completely, although he has some understanding and teaches against cults and that’s good. Joe, although not a Christian nor believer in God, was correct when he stated about ‘Let Us Reason’ site, “it’s a religious site so I’m sure they’ll have their own take on the whole deal. Just because any site claims to know the truth about any subject, we must always due our own research to see what the Bible actual says about a certain doctrine. There are many opinions, but God is the final authority and His scriptures must be studied with the help of the Holy Ghost - He is our guide. Christians without the Holy Ghost baptism will come up lacking when they try to understand the Bible. That’s why there are so many denominations. And, some ministers who claim to have the Holy Ghost don’t really have the real thing - they speak in other made up languages themselves - it’s not the Holy Ghost speaking through them. I’ve heard the real thing and know people who did not know anything but English and the Holy Ghost spoke through them in an actual language - some German, some Hebrew, some Chinese.

To Aaron, so what’s wrong with believing a soul enters a human body at birth when it breathes for the first time? According to the Bible, Adam’s body was indeed formed, but he didn’t become a ‘living soul’ until his first breath.
I’ve studied the Bible about this very subject and have never read any scripture that states the soul is imparted into the egg and sperm at conception. Sure, a fetus can be marked in it’s mother’s womb, just as john the Baptist was. And, the fetus can even be filled with the Holy Ghost, but the Bible even states of God using and even speaking through animals (Balaam’s donkey) and the Bible clearly teaches that animals do not have a soul even though they breathe, live and have emotions and feelings. Just because a fetus kicks and even expresses emotion cannot be a basis for saying it has a soul from God. I see nothing scripturally incorrect with anyone thinking that the soul enters a baby at birth when it breathes life for the first time. That matches the first mention of a soul in the Bible. The ‘rule of first mention’ is very important in Biblical understanding.

I don’t give a rat’s ass whether or not Angley sincerely believes he can cure people or whether he is a conscious con-man. The fact remains that he cannot fucking cure people of AIDS, or if he can then let him damn well PROVE IT. I know he cannot, and claiming to do so is not only wrong for giving people false hope it is also downright dangerous, cos what happens when people think they’re “cured” and then figure they don’t need to worry bout a condom or abstinence or what have you any more and keep on passing the disease on?
This guy should never have been let into Guyana to preach his nonsense, just like Jim Jones should never have been let into Guyana. Maybe Jim Jones was “sincere” as well and really and truly believed that poison kool aid was the best thing for those people.

@”the rule of first mention” dude/dudette:
How about the rule of making any kind of common and/or moral sense as a guidline to biblical overstanding? I read the bible and I accept what makes common and/or moral sense to me (eg/ “a soft answer turns away wrath”- common sense truth - not saying I always apply it as some who have dissed me on this blog know, LOL), and discard what doesn’t (eg; go into the land of canaan and slaughter every man woman and child and livestock and take it for yourself, cos Yahweh orders you to - that is wrong and immoral and if “Yahweh” or whoever ordered I to do that I would refuse and bear the consequences).

Hey Eye M@n,
Angley actual would agree with you! He has stated over and over again that he can’t cure anyone of anything, but God can and does heal people through prayer. And, he always tells people if they believe God has cured them of AIDS then they should go back to their doctor for testing to prove it. He absolutely encourages them to get documented proof of their test of negative for AIDS. This is why he has stated that he has medically documented proof (which I’ve seen reported on TV and in person) that God has healed people who had once tested positive for HIV, but after God healed them they tested negative (and were double tested to make sure). He also preaches resposibility such as abstinence, no sex outside of marriage and remaining faithful to one’s spouse (all the things you would agree is morally right and physically responsible and safe). He also promotes birth control. He is not the typical Christian minister. In fact, he’s pro union and not a Republican like many other conservative preachers in the U.S. although he’s never endorsed any political person.

Does prayer heals you? Or faith in God? I don’t know, maybe if you ask Jim Jones he will tell you how he healed people with cancer during his time. Sneakey job for a preacher. Now I hear about Angley, wow, this is the amazing man who heals AIDS. The question is, are these people who claim that they have AIDS, really have AIDS? Or just fake to appeal to the mass. So Caicos, it would be better to test those who claim that they are HIV positive before they go to Angley? Anyone(who is associated) can say that he or she is HIV positive and go to Angley, so that to help his credibility and to influence the population, in oreder for them to join his faith, More money and power to the man..
Robby
20 Jun 09 at 2:10 am
Hi Robby! I thought the very same thing you did about whether those people had Aids to begin with. Then, I investigated their cases for myself and found they had been tested more than once by independent medical centers and they did indeed test positive over a number of years. In the cases I reviewed there was medically verified evidence that they once had HIV and AIDS sicknesses and were in fact dying, and then after being in one of Angley’s services they later tested negative (some were not even touched or prayed for by Angley, God healed them in the service because they had faith in God). I do not believe Angley heals anyone, nor has he ever siad he did. Prayer and faith are one in the same. When someone prays in faith, believing the God loves them and wants to heal them, then God can move for that person. Sometimes, as I’ve witnessed myself, it takes someone like Angley, who has a greater amount of faith then people like me, to help us pray to God in faith for the healing to take place. Secondly, it is well known that Angley doesn’t get rich off theses services. In fact, he doesn’t take any money donated out of a country he visits. Any money donated goes toward hiring set up crews, paying hotel workers, advertising and television time. He and the missionary team that travels with him actually are a benefit to the local economy. They spend way more in a country then they ever receive in donations from those who attend the services. I’m not necessarily a supporter of Angley, but of any true minister of God that I see actually doing what he’s supposed to do according to the Bible - pray for the sick, preach the Gospel, lift up the depressed, show people love.

I hope that nonChristian people reading this site will not judge Christianity by the teachings of Rev.Angley.What he teaches is not the true message of the Gospel, but his own very distorted version of it.The Let Us Reason site spells out very accurately where Rev.Angley has gone deep into error…
Angley teaches a doctrine of good works and self righteousness. He claims to have lived 100% sin free, for decades. No one in the Bible would have dared to make such an obviously false and ridiculous statement. The Bible states that if any man claims to have no sin, that man is a liar..and the truth is not in him!The Apostle Paul constantly talked about his ongoing struules with sin…the flesh against the spirit.Towards the end of his life he referred to himself as “the chief of sinners.” Angley tries to say the Paul’s struggles with sin were BEFORE he was a Christian. This is obviously a false teaching, twisted to try and suit Angley’s false doctrine of human being’s being able to live totlally free of sin.Anyone making that claim is either decieving themself, delusional, lying or defines sin differently than the Bible does.Coveting, lusting, self righteousness, judging others, hating someone, pride, selfishness, indifference…all are sins.Who can honestly say that they never are guilty of any of those. You dont have to drink or sleep around in order to sin…
Angley’s doctrines put Christians under bondage to fear. They KNOW in their hearts that they cannot achieve the “sin free” state that he says the must have to go to Heaven. He says if you dont agree with his Divine Blood teaching, then you are not a Christian. His Divine Blood teaching is false and found nowhere in the Bible! He uses fear to control his followers, his teachings are as fear-based as those of a cult I belonged to,years ago. “One sin-you go to Hell, criticize Ernest Angley-you’ve blasphemed the Holy Spirit”,these are false doctrines that keep people terrified. There is a sin of blasphemeing the Holy Spirit, but it sure isn’t committed by criticizing Angley’s false doctrines. No one is above being questioned, investigated and their false teachings exposed as such.In fact,we are told to be watchmen.False doctrines are not harmless.I have seen Christians terrified, tormented, feeling condemned, because of Rev.Angley’s warped teachings.I knew a Christian lady who committed suicide-because she believed she had committed an unpardonable sin.She battled mental problems for many years.False, fear based theology can be devastating to those very sensitive or emotionally ill.
Like I said before,Angley is a sincere man,but what he is teaching contains alot of non Scriptural concepts. His follwers don’t question these things, because he claims to have been given them directly by Jesus. No doubt, his followers are saying at this very minute that I am not a Christian, have blasphemed the Spirit, and am on my way to Hell.None of that is true,I am simply a Christian who is not afraid to look deeply at things, not afraid to question the claims of spiritual leaders.I hope for his followers that they will someday have the courage to get free from Angley’s false fear based doctrines.I hope they will find the true gospel of grace-salvation given as a free gift, something none of us(Angley included)could ever deserve or earn.We are imperfect people, living in a body which desires to sin.We will battle the desires of our flesh, until the day we die.Sometimes we will fail, and sin.We repent of it and ask Christ to forgive us.We do not become saved-unsaved-saved-unsaved-that’s insane! We are just Christians struggling along, until the day we are free from this earthly body, and go to Him.If only the 100% sin free Christians are going to Heaven, then Brither Angley is going to Hell as well as the rest of us mere mortals.Thank God that doctrine is not true,or we would all be without hope!
The articles I have read on Let Us Reason have been excellent-right on the money!

I would like to clarify what I said above.I did not mean that everything Rev.Angley teaches is wrong. He teaches repenting of your sins, asking Jesus Christ for forgiveness, and becoming “born again”.I dont doubt that many have accepted Christ after hearing his messages.I dont doubt that he loves Christ or does all he can to serve Him.I dont doubt that some people have had miraculous healings.Unfortunately, the fact remains that he teaches much serious error, confusing and putting Christians under condemnation. When jesus said “go and sin no more”He knew that it would not bew possible for any human being to literally achieve that.I believe He was telling the woman to repent of her sinful ways and do all she could to live a righteous life.Angley’s followers have a tendency to pick out certain verses, while ignoring the overall teachings of Scripture. As I stated above,Paul wrote many times about his struggles with sin, doing what he did not want to so,failing to do what he did want to do..referring to himself as a sinner(long after being a Christian!)
What in the world is the point of telling nonChristians that they should become Christians-if one sin equals their being damned once more.No one could remain a Christian for more than a day, surely some sinful thought would be in the person’s mind, they would do something that would make them fall short of perfection.Do you disown your children, the minute they fail you? Then how can you believe that God would?

Aaron, you REALLY need to read Angley’s book called Living Free from Sin. I think your idea of what sin is and Angley’s may be a bit different. When Angley quotes the OVER 700 scriptures in the Bible that plainly state that no sin can enter heaven and that we can live free from our old ways through the power in the blood of Jesus, he isn’t talking about having a bad thought or being tempted as being sin. Jesus is our example and the Bible says He was certainly tempted and thoughts of doing wrong came to His mind, but He conquered and was without sin. He didn’t put those thoughts into motion. There are many Christians who once they give their hearts to Jesus ARE able to live free from sin. If a person can’t live free from sin - let’s say its stealing for example, then why bother getting saved? What would they be saved from if the continue to sin? Are you the type that thinks they’re ’saved’ but continue to be the old person that was dead in trespesses and sin? Jesus said a number of times as He saved and healed people, “Go and sin no more.” If that were impossible to do thru the divine blood of Jesus, then Christ died for nothing. If accepting His blood means I can just continue being a sinner, then there is no born NEW experience. But, thank God the divine shed blood of Jesus (His sacrifice) is enough to make me a new creature in Christ Jesus (old things are passed away, behold I’m new!) Simply having a thought of sinful temptation is not sin, it is a temptation. If you act upon that temptation to fulfil the lust of the flesh then you’ve committed sin. John said no man is without sin and that meant all must ask for Jesus to save their soul, John was not talking about the person who’s been made new. You need to read the rest of those chapters which plainly show that no sin can get inot heaven and only those who are holy will God accept. Those that teach that no one can live free from sin are denying the power in Jesus sacrifice and His ability to make us brand new. Those who teach that are those who make an excuse for their sins and don’t really want to be made new and have a sin free life. Anyone who wonders what Angley actually teaches should read the book Living Free from Sin, and not just listening to others comments and opinions. Read for yourselves what scriptures Angley brings forth about this subject and then you’ll know for yourself instead of depending on me or any other person on the web who mayt or may not know exactly what Angley believes. It’s amazing how much false beliefs people attribute to others, such as Angley, but anyone who truly wants to know if those things are true can just study the authors actual books or even their own website. Go to Angley’s website if you can’t get his books and find out for yourselves what he believes and what scriptures he states proves we can be made new creations in Christ Jesus and live a holy life before God and then go to Heaven.
