I thought that I should respond to your letter of April 5, 2007, in which you unceremoniously terminated my services as Treasurer at the Shri Trimurti Bhavan with effect from that date, despite a number of years of devoted service to that Mandir for which I received numerous praises from you and Dr Dhanpaul. I‘ve been thinking long and hard. Why would anyone want to fire someone with a proven track record of humanitarian and professional work for the Trimurti Mandir? Why would anyone want to fire someone who has been promoting the Mandir’s mission and Hindu dharma? Why would anyone choose to embark on an unprecedented course of action to hurt the people who helped lift the Mandir out of financial and other difficulties?
I am led to believe that it’s because of my strong stance against malpractices, the need for abiding with principles, and my insistence on public accountability, that the axe was wielded unscrupously. Since there have been numerous innuendos and attempts at vilification, I feel that it’s important that I respond to this termination letter, in addition to, other allegations that have been tossed around. To explain my story to the public, I would of necessity, rely on the history of recent activities at the Mandir.This letter sets forth the chain of events that have occurred during my term as Treasurer of the Shri Trimurti Bhanvan.
Dating back to my initial appointment as Treasurer on September 15, 2003, on an annual basis, I have been the first Treasurer to deliver the Mandir’s financial statement to the members of the Mandir at a satsang. When I was appointed Treasurer, the Mandir had a mortgage of $180,000. Within one year of my appointment as Treasurer, that mortgage was paid off with donations from the members of the Mandir.
On one Sunday in 2005 after regular ser vice, Pandit Chunelall Narine summoned a meeting in his office with his brother, Dhanpaul Narine (the President of the Mandir) and Mr K. Khemraj (Vice President) and myself (Treasurer). He advised us that he was going through financial hardships and that he was facing foreclosure on his home. He indicated that his financial hardships related to his two children currently attending college. He requested a loan from the Mandir fund, which he said would be repaid after selling his land in West Palm Beach, Florida. The President, Dr Dhanpaul Narine stated we should help because he is the Mandir’s priest, and recommended that we lend him $25,000.00, with Pandit Chunelall Narine having access to the money, as he needed. He also indicated the loan should be made in cash.
The President then instructed me to give Pandit Chunelall cash. In order to process their request I had to write a check payable to “cashâ€. I labeled the check memo as, “Loan to Pandit Chunelall approved by the executive. The same entry was made in the log book.
During the course of my term as Treasurer, Pandit Chunelall had taken over $34,000 for his personal use, including arti money. However, I could only account for $16,325.41. Pandit Chunelall also took money for his family vacation at the Pegusus Hotel in Guyana. In addition, he took money for his parents to cover their expenses for traveling to New York.
In 2006, after a Sunday service, Pandit Chunelall called a meeting with the President, Vice President, and myself. At this meeting, he demanded a salary of $4,000.00 monthly from the Mandir funds. The President approved this request. The Pandit requested his payment be made in cash. A check was made out payable to “Cashâ€. The following month, Pandit Chunelall was paid $1,000 because the Mandir could not afford the $4,000 he requested.
Pandit Chunelall came to my place of business and asked if I finished the financial statement for the Mandir. I told him the Mandir had a reserve of over $63,278.30. He asked me to only declare $23,000. I asked him why he wanted me to declare a lesser amount. He said he did not want members of the Mandir to know that there was a reserve as he felt they would not continue to give donations. I told him that I couldn’t accommodate his request. I called the Vice President and informed him of the request Pandit Chunelall had made. He agreed it was an inappropriate request. Following this meeting, I received a call from Pandit Chunelall who said he will be at the Mandir on New Year’s Day and asked me to deliver the financial statement to the Mandir, but to only declare $23,000. On December 31, 2006, I delivered the full financial statement of $63,278.30. Pandit Chunelall was not at the Mandir, but all members of the executive board were present.
In January 2007, at a Sunday satsang one of the young pandits made a statement that Pandit Chunelall had given him and another young pandit authority to take charge of the Mandir in his absence. At the end of the service, the President Dhanpaul Narine asked myself and the Vice President to address the Mandir. I advised the Mandir that the executive board was functioning and in charge of the Mandir during Pandit Chunelall’s absence. During this period Pandit Chunelall was in India making a DVD.
A few days after Pandit Chunelall returned from India, he locked the Vice President and myself out from the Mandir, and appointed a lady to collect the Mandir money. As the Treasurer, I was given a key to allow access to the Mandir for weddings and pujas.
The President, on occasions, would bring checks at my place of business to put into the Mandir’s account, but no cash.
Prior to accepting the position as Treasurer, I had advised Pandit Chunelall and the President that I have to travel frequently for my business, and would not be able to be at the Mandir every week. When I am out on business, the President would bring any donations made to the church to my office and a receipt will be given. As of January 2007, he brought a few checks. The last day I received money from him was on 3/28/07. The President was collecting arti money and donations without writing receipts. Such money collected was never deposited.
During the week of March 26, 2007 the Vice President and I requested a copy of the Mandir’s by-laws. The President said he did not have it. During the week of April 2nd Mr Navin Phagu called and advised that he would have a copy of the by-laws delivered to us by April 5th and requested an executive meeting on April 6th. During this same time there were rumors that the Vice President and I were removed from our positions as Vice President and Treasurer, respectively.
On April 5th I received a letter terminating my services as Treasurer, and requesting that I deliver the accounting books by April 18, 2007. I agree to deliver the books providing that Pandit Chunelall accounts for the loan he took in 2005. On many occasions we called for a meeting, and for the loan to be repaid. Dr Dhanpaul and Pandit Chunelall started to play games. I have sent the books to our attorneys’ office for safe keeping.
On April 10th, when I called Citibank for information regarding the Mandir;s account, I was told by a Representative that both accounts for the Mandir were closed and funds withdrawn by Dr Dhanpaul Narine on that said day.
On April 11th I went to Citibank and met with a Manager who advised that Dr Dhanpaul Narine, Pt Chunelall Narine and Gaitree Narine closed the account, and opened a new account. They produced fictitious Mandir minutes, and designated Dr Dhanpaul Narine as the new signature on the account, and Gaitree Narine as the Treasurer.
On the same day, an executive meeting was called with out the Vice President and me when they appointed Gaitee Narine as Treasurer.
If these discrepancies and malpractices do not hit you yet. Wait, there is more.
It was decided by the executive members for the Mandir to produce a prayer book. It was agreed that the books would be a 2007 fund raiser for the Mandir.
Pandit Chunelall went to India, Banglore to get the books printed. The Mandir paid for his expenses plus $11,000 for 2,000 books. The books would be sold in the market for $20,00 each. The Mandir paid for all clearance, delivery of the books to the Mandir. Pandit Chunelall called and said the books were to be delivered to his home and not the Mandir. During that week, he sent some books to the Mandir, and the books started to sell as the Mandir books. He appointed a young girl to handle and collect money for the books.
One Sunday after service, another meeting was called with the President, Vice President, and myself. Pandit Chunelall told us that he is taking over the book and it is no longer the Mandirs book. I said to him that the Mandir paid the cost for the books.He said that he will pay for the costs of the books by giving the Mandir 550 books to sell at $20.00 per book, totaling $11,000. I questioned the expenses, he refused to pay for his expenses.
He gave the young girl appointed to collect money for the books full control to sell the books and collect all proceeds. As to date, the full amount for the expenses of the books have not been repaid.
In January, Pandit Chunelall ordered 2,000 more books and is misrepresenting the books as the Mandir property when in actuality, the books are for his own profit.
The Vice President and I both agree that the books belong to the Mandir, which means to the people who worship at the Mandir, and we are humbly asking for the return of the books.
The appointment of a new Treasurer was not constitutional as a full forum was never requested or received by the executive members.
In regards to returning the financial books of the Mandir, I am more than happy to return it under the condition that Pandit Chunelall acknowledges and repays the loan so that I can complete the financial books for my term. Both the Vice President and I are concerned if we return the books without the loan being paid back, it never will and the years of donation made by the people of the Mandir will be lost, as well as, the reputation of the Mandir.
The Vice Presidient and I have contributed thousands of dollars over the years, as well as countless hours including using my professional office and administrative staff to complete work for the Mandir free of charge. To be grossly insulted like this for our services and dedication to the preservation of the Mandir by Pandit Chunelall and the President, Dr Dhanpaul Chunelall is deeply disturbing. What is more alarming is that the generosity of people who attend this Mandir, who have donated their hard earned money is being abused without their knowledge. What is more perplexing is that these issues are not new at the Mandir. Past executive members have had to encounter the same financial issues with Pt Pandit Chunelall and Dr Dhanpaul Narine. To add insult to injury Pandit Chunelall Narine and Dhanpaul Narine have blatantly declared that vice preseident K Khemraj is unrecognized as vice president. This is the way of expressing gratitude to a person who has dedicated his service wholeheartedly to the Mandir.
Questions need to be asked as to the true costs of building the Mandir. There are a number of violations and no certificate of occupancy at the Mandir for the past six years. People need to ask whether these two brothers Pandit Chunelall and Dr Dhanpaul Narine are really working for the benefit of the Mandir and its community or are they using the Mandir for their own personal gains at the cost of the community’s hard earned dollars.
The performing of wedding ceremonies was prohibited at the Mandir because of an incident with Pandit Chunelall Narine and a wedding guest. Why should devotees and their members suffer, when the devotees are the true owners of the Mandir?
Finally we are looking for a copy of the Mandir’s bylaws and constitution.
Pandit Chunelall owns four (4 ) expensive cars, one luxurious house in floral park, two houses in Mineola, Florida, and one house in the South.
Let’s look further into Dr Dhanpaul Narine’s track record. Everything he touches is destroyed. When he ran for political office it was a disgrace to the community. The most beloved and respected Phagwah Parade is now divided because of his actions.
He and his brother have turned the Shri Trimurti Bhavan into a dictatorship.
How can dharma be protected by dishonest people?
I challenge both Pt Chunellal Narine and Dr Dhanpaul, Narine to deny the facts listed above. I anxiously await their response.

What ever the truth may be concerning this matter, a temple should be a serene, peaceful place of worship and politics create confusion and hostility. There should be more religion and less politics promoted.

Pandit Chunelal and his brother Dhanpaul Narine are pompous dictators. The members of Shri Trimurti Bhavan need to unite and stand against this unrighteousness. Embezzlement of mandir funds for personal pleasure should not be tolerated. It is very unfortunate, that the people we address as leaders are exploiting Sanathan dharma in this manner. I pray that Shri Krisna shows compassion to them. Righteousness is often challenged by temptation, thus forgiveness is important.

As I read the above letter, I was jolted into a sudden state of despair. In an age of sin and corruption, we seek guidance and spiritual advice from leaders as Chunelal. If Chunelal and Dhanpaul are culpable, they should repay all of the missing funds. I am not the Judge of man, we all make mistakes. I have always considered Pt. Chunelal a stalwart member of the Hindu community, if he is guilty, then I beseech the forgiveness of the almighty in his favor. In Kaliyuga, the lord reminded us that perfection will be non existant. Tulsidas reminded us in Kaliyug we will encounter men of deception. Tulsdas stated, “He alone is clever who robs another of his wealth; he who puts up false appearances is an ardent follower of established usage”( Ramacharitmanas). Mr. Sibidan, I commend your determination to stand up against the tyrannical rule at the bhavan, let dharma be your torch of freedom. Long live Shri satya sanathan dharma.

As I was read the above article, I was jolted into a sudden state of despair. We look to leaders like Pt. Chunelal in this challenging age for spiritual guidance and moral support. If our leaders are involved in such deviant acts, who are we to seek guidance from?. I have always considered Chunelal a stalwart member of the Hindu community, if he is culpable, then financial retribution should be sought out. Tulsidas reminded us, ” Whoever launches spurious undertakings and is given over to hypocrisy, him does everyone call a saint. He alone is clever who robs another of his wealth; he who puts up false appearances is an ardent follower of established usage” ( Sri Ramcharitmanas). The former treasurer of this mandir is supposedly Mr. Rohee Sibidan, a convicted felon, charged with attempted murder. I know he spent time in prison, don’ t know how long though. I also don’ t know how he came to be a treasurer for a mandir……..

The controversy here and the reality that it is stemming from a Mandir is absolutely disgusting! We should all look at the way a manidir should be run and taken care of and realize that all this drama and controversy is totally unnecessary and its a shame that all this is happening.

Some things don’t add up……..
1. What does the mortgage being paid off have to do with his appointment as Treasurer in 2003?
2. Was the loan for $25,000 in cash noted in any of the members’ bank accounts?
3. This log book, why is not available for all to see?
4. If you could only account for $16,325.41, where did this figure of $34,000 come from?
5. Is the montly salary of $4,000 also noted in your ledger?
6. Why would the pandit of this temple only want you to declare $23,000 instead of the actual amount? Members would donate if there was only $23,000 instead of $60,000? No matter the amount, members will donate if the believe the cause, not the bank account.
7. Since stating the actual amount of $63,278.30, what was the result?
8. The young pandits paragraph seems to have no relevance in this.
9. The following paragraph also does not have any relation to fraudulent activity.
10. The removal came as a result of continued absence and poor relations with the congregation, and a bad reputation in the community (see previous post)
11. What “games” did these two brothers play when the priest had to repay the loan?
12. What proof is there that the minutes were “ficticious” if you never had access to see them?
13. The paragraphs regarding these mandir books seems nothing more than “he said she said” storytelling. With no hard evidence as to the actual fraud taking place, it’s difficult to ascertain whether this priest is actually pocketing this money. More evidence will be necessary to prove this.
14. There should also be proof of the priest taking out this “loan.” It seems that there are many holes in this testimony.
Lastly, it was seen in front of many that the Treasurer and the Vice President directly insulted a member of the mandir, which later resulted in their removal due to the fact that the members were very displeased with their remarks. I don’ t know about the executive’s personal income, and luxurious homes and expensive cars, however I do know that gossip and quarrelling is a staple of Mr. Sibidan’s way of life. I would classify him, whose name was given to us by “concerned hindu” as a crab in a bucket, whose uneducation of personal relations has led him to his current state.

Alexander what difference does it make if he’s a convicted felon or not? the man is exposing serious problems at the mandir is he not? and he obviously did not hire himself treasurer so what does that say about those running the mandir? however, if this is true, the man has a right to live his life if he has served time for this ‘crime’

He was tried and convicted for hiring a mercenary to kill his son-in-law. That mercenary turned out to be an undercover police officer. His credibility has to be taken into question. I believe the mandir was trying to restore his public image by allowing him to renounce his old ways and live a life of devotion to God. It is surprising he would turn on his priest in this way.

I think we are all wasting our time posting comments and taking sides because none of us really know what is really going on. I think it would be wise to wait for VALID proof and then post comments and concerns. Sites like these make the “bad” in KaliYug more prominent than the “good.”

I actually have a direct source to this incident of which I will keep confidential. And although I respect your religious position on this matter, in the courts of the United States, our religion is justice, and justice is delivered through evidence, and conviction. More on valid proof below.

I do know that these charges are false. These monies, if they were borrowed by this priest, were certainly not used for personal expenses, and Mr. Sibidan does not have any legal proof. The executive was wise to remove the bank account due to the fact that fabrication from Mr. Sibidan could take place, as he had a contact working in the bank to keep track of the account. I would like to see Mr. Sibidan produce invoices, copies of checks, balance sheets, ledgers, if his testimony is even to be considered in court.

The fact of the matter is that Sibadan was an incapable treasurer who repeatedly addressed the congregation in a condescending manner. During the course of his time as treasurer, his ego only grew larger and larger. Those same men he is currently slandering provided him an opportunity to redeem himself and reestablish some sort of reputation in the community. When no one else would even look at him, those men accepted him with a clean slate. This only displays their benevolence and compassion. He was a man who did the most culpable, unthinkable actions. In his appalling letter, he fails to mention his haughty, egotistic nature and his insulting speeches.
I don’t know that mandir’s affairs in details. But, I don’t have to and you don’t either. It is completely obvious that this former treasurer is an insecure man whose major objective is to bring down noble people. He is too arrogant to accept his faults. I would think that after all he has done in his past, he would be as meek as a lamb. But, look at the society we live in.
I would never believe any of the crap he writes. For, he is ignorant and maybe, even a bit looney. In my opinion, he never cared that much for the people (his whole letter is an act). He never even made an effort to pronounce the mandir’s name correctly. I pray that God crushes his enormous ego. I really hope he is enlightened.

As a former executive member at this mandir that many help build, it’s a shame to see what is happening here today, we know that this day will come, these two brother has miss used the people money for years from the construction of the mandir until now. Lets look at their track records, from the first executive members until now they have been having problems with all the treasurer, the first one was dismissed, the second and third resigned and now Mr Sibidan who was dismissed as well, can you see the pattern here people, some one need to question this. All these former treasurer and executive member did not have the courage to challange these two brother until now, so as a former member at this mandir I applaud Mr Sibidan for what he is doing, and I like to tell him he have this community support, these two guys need to be stopped!

Furthermore, I think this forum was focused on discussing Mr. Sibidan’s remarks, not a daughter of a pandit. If that is your argument (or infatuation), start another thread.

It is sad to see an eloquent letter written by someone whose character is questionable in itself. The word “facts” means information that is proven. So far, you are saying a whole lot without any evidence. I truly hope the readers are smarter than the writer in this case. Anyone can say anything with dates, names, times and amounts. Whenever you can prove what you are saying with evidence, your so called statements will be given validity. So… let’s see, you go on a rampage becuase you were fired. Had I been in charge, you would have never been given such a position in the first place. You have no room to talk. Self reflection is a powerful thing. Before you act as a counselor or a person of good faith you should first examine yourself as a person. In my opinion, you have no credibility and have given your readers no proof of your so called “allegations.” I pray for you as an individual and may wisdom be bestowed upon you. Shri Trimurti and its founding leaders will prevail.

From the time a devotee was insulted for singing a birthdaysong in church since then the people (devotees) should have spoken up. You got the power of speech use it wisely. Pandit and the executive waited too long . I was present in the temple at the time when he tried to put the young pandits down. The whole temple devotees stood up to them. Panditji was not there. Dr. Dhanpal did not say a word to those true devotees of sanatan Dharma he did not need to . The same devotees he is trying to turn against the temple are the one who stood up to him. Why he waited so long to let everyone knows what is going? He claims he is fighing for dharma Pleaseeeeeeee —— Pandit Chunelall sacrifice his time to the people , he has a family also don’t you think he could have spent it with his family. What is your problem don’t you have a life? As for Ahmad groups what do you want? What profits are you getting for your slanders? They are saying they are fighting for dhrama they just making a fool of themself. The other religion are having a good laugh. People who stands up for sanatan dharma are not afraid to sign their name. Don’t use dharma to go against the pandits. As for Alexander do you think pandit would respond to you the way that message is. don’t believe that. It is one of those so call fighting for dhrama. Don’t ever tried to stand against a bhramin you will surely lose. Dr. Dhanpal don’t give up fight? You guys have being doing a great deal for the community and keep it going. The devotees of trimuriti stands strong behind you. Nothing or no one is going empty that temple.

Look guys, I’ll return the money I just need to throw this sweet 16 in Trimurti and I’ll have the money to cover what I took. I never planned to keep the funds but sheeesh who would have ever though that viagra, condoms, and latin prostitutues would be so expensive.

There is only one response that seems appropriate to all of the commentaries; that is “ignorance is bliss.” I have never seen such ridiculous and childish behavior from grown people within the Guyanese community in my lifetime. How dare they criticize an innocent man, a pandit at that, and his family? Before making such ignorant assumptions, one should get their facts straight about the entire situation. I pity those who blindly believe such an IDIOT (and I cannot use any other word to describe him, for this is the most accurate word I can find) like Mr. Sibadan who are starting these rumors because of jealousy. Everyone who is a staunch supporter of the mandir can vouch for the fact that Pt. Narine put his heart and soul into this mandir and never took a cent for his personal use. Shame on those who would think that there is no morality left within human beings when it is clear to see that there aren’t any ethical ideals that exist within all of those who are encouraging such immoral behavior. This is an ongoing issue that needs to remain between the two parties and not spread to the community with 100% false rumors. The manner in which Mr. Sibadan and his hypocritical supporters went on about, is to be laughed at. A child in elementary school has more knowledge than that and I simply hope that God can have mercy on their souls for all of their evil intentions and wrong doings.

as the former executive noted, it is a shame to see what is happening to this beautiful mandir today, this is suppose to be a house of god and a place of worship, where people go for peace, to get away from all the politics and petty nonsense that is faced in our everyday life and has now ended up in the mandir thanks to Dhanpaul who I’m sure misled Pandit. I don’t see anyone commenting on what will become of the mandir and the hundreds of kids and elderly that looks up to pandit, the kids who pandit made believe in god and the right thing to do, now has doubts in their minds and don’t know where to turn, who to believe in and who to listen to. did Mr. Sibadan think thoroughly of the consequences of starting something like this? I am sure there was a better way of handling this if the allegations are true without causing any hurt or disbelieve for people who looked to pandit for guidance, spiritually and mentally. Although I’m sure that he must have some proof before publishing something so detailed. I believe the executive members, Sibadan, Dhanpaul and Kemraj should take full responsibility for approving loans after loans after loans without any objections, lets face it a man asking for money and receiving without hesitation why would he refuse or stop when he has needs as well, also why was none of this mentioned to any of the other executives, Mendra, Mr. Phagu and Tanuja, and why were they not present at the meeting. I am not sure what to believe at this time, however I do know if pandit did take this money it was with the intentions to eventually repay all of it. we should all remember this is a man with a family and bills to pay like the rest of us, he puts in all his time at the mandir without a salary, think about it, how would you feed your kids and pay your bills if the work that you did was free of charge. I do think there is some truth to this but I am and will always be a true believer of pandit Chunelall, he should just repay the money and somehow re-gain his reputation and trust from the members of the mandir who loves him and hope he will remain our spiritual leader. If Dhanpaul loves his brother and the mandir he should walk away since we know he is the source behind all the evil. He loves the spotlight and the power this gives him, if he leaves, pandit and his elected executives by the mandir can turn all this around for the better.

Myself and many of my colleagues have attended the Shri Trimurti Bhavan and are very much devoted to its preservation, and of course we are concerned with these allegations, however you do understand that before we can pass any form of opinion let alone judgement, we’ll require sufficient hardcopy evidence?

Sabadan is shady, everyone knows that. The mandir gave him respectabiylty. How does he repay the people, by wanting to bring down the mandir. Dhanpaul and Chunelall are too trusting. They dont check people out first before bringing them in the exec. Right now they have Phagoo who is a newscarrier. He a carry news back and forth. What will Dhanpaul and chunny do to him, bet you nothing. Another thing. The letter written by the so-called former Treasurer was actually written by someone else. Any guesses who wrote it? Sabadan should know that he cant win. He was a lousy treasurer who was very HAGGISH to the people.

You know, all I see over and over again by this Alexander fella is how the former treasurer is such a bad person who’s words hold no weight because of something he did in his past.
Stop playing that broken record already.
Anyone who is reading this can easily understand that you are trying to show he can’t be trusted. No need to keep repeating it so many times. The fact is that many of us do alot of bad things, punishable crimes but we never get caught. Just because our name isn’t in the newspaper doesn’t mean we are without sin. I know he’s not a totally honest man, neither am I..neither are you, neither is Pt. Chunilall or Dr. Dhanpaul.
Now, if Pt. Chunilall and Dr. Dhanpaul knew this person was such a felon, a liar, an all around bad apple..why would he be appointed as the TREASURER of all things. Trusting such a terrible felon with so much money? Sounds like they felt he was either fit for the job, or they were hoping he was a person who would allow them to do what they wanted with the mandir’s funds.
People should not think that pandits don’t make money. A well recognized pandit will recieve anywhere from $300-700 for a simple Jhandi. In one saturday they’re booked for 3-4 Jhandi’s. Pt. Chunilall is one of them. Why he would request $4000 per month for being the priest is beyond my comprehension. No other hindu priest is doing such a thing. Hindu priests are supposed to renounce material posessions, not fund them. A hindu priest driving even ONE expensive car is a shame. Buy a carolla nuh…give the rest to charities in Guyana and India and to the mandir. Live the simple life you preach.
For those of you who are reading and thinking to yourself, how can someone accuse a priest of such things, please keep in mind that Guyanese priests have always been caught up in some nonsense. There are always MANY scandals within mandirs. Some of you just aren’t very educated on what goes on within a mandirs “government” to understand how these sorts of problems arise.

KNOW YOUR HISTORY
Know your history and know it well. The New York Times, September 30,1994 said of Sabadan, that he conspired with another man to kill a Mr. Khan. The Times said that sabadan had a gun which he gave to a man to shoot khan 5 times. At the trial Sabadan daughter testified against him. Sabadan was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in jail.
When Sabadan got in jail he was depressed AND SIUCIDAL. His family said he coiled up like a ball in the corner of his cell. He didnt eat or drink. He was getting thin thin. The family wanted help. They contacted Dhanpaul and asked him to do anything to help.
Dhanpaul immediatrly write letters on the mandir letterhead and beg the judge fer mercy fer Sabadan. Dhanpaul went to many mandirs and masjids to get lettters and he sent them to the judge.
Sabadan had a fight in jail and they beat him up cause he cuoldnt shut his mouth. The family had to give bribes to people in there to help him. Dhanpaul got in touch wid hid brother Chunelall and they started a PETITION with signatures. It was hard in the snow and rain to get hundreds of signatures. They had to go house to house in the rain to get people to sign.
When the parole day came the lawyer wanted more references. Dhanpaul and Chunelall were there again to collect and give his wife to take in. The judge reduced his sentence to 5 years.
Sabadab came out of prison and Dhanpaul and Chunelall embraced him and took him to their mandir. Many people were upset. why have a jailbird, they want to know. But Danpal and Chunny quiet them down and said Sababan need another chance. You have to show him kindness. That is wat the good book says. Sabadan started to build back hisself. Danpaul and Chunny got his daughter and himself to mend things up.
Sabadan was happy. He never talked about thiefing and corruption. Chunny took him to India and full his packet with money. Them boys trusted him that’s why they made him Treasurer.
Now Sabadan repaying them wid accusing them of thiefing. How Dhanpaul uesd to go house and collect signature fo him, now Sabadan going house to house to give people letters to destroy the same mandir that helped him. What kind of a man is he? YOU BE THE JUDGE. But please, know your history.

As a response to the former Trimurti goer, you must have been a pandit in the past to know all of this information and congratulations on delivering to us the true meaning of ‘psychotic fan’ seeing how you’re keeping track of all of Pt. Chunelall’s financial records. Keep the jealousy to yourself; just because you may drive a worn out Corolla doesn’t mean the rest of us have to drive one. First of all, it shouldn’t be your business as to how many cars are being driven especially when you don’t know how it was paid for and let this be a FACT to all of you ignorant believers of Mr. Sibadan that it was NOT paid for with the mandir’s money. Nothing in Narine’s personal possession was paid for with the mandir’s money. As for you former Trimurti goer (glad you’re former), if you know that pandits make so much money, then you would know how his “luxurious car” and other items were paid for. Since you’re a stalker and all, I would assume that you keep track of this. Pandit Chunelall is a man that gets paid for his services just like the rest of us normal breathing working people in the world. He has a wife and kids to support and is trying to make their life as comfortable as possible. Isn’t that why everyone migrates to this country, the main priority being to provide a better life for their family? Has anyone ever stopped to think about what a toll this is taking on him and his family? He is a PANDIT, a humble, HONEST, knowledgeable pandit who EARNED his respect throughout the years of his career. It’s funny how so many people can jump to conclusions without inquiring about Pt. Narine’s hardships and how he had to struggle to make it to this level in which Sibadan is trying to destroy. I am a strong member of the Trimurti Bhavan. Pt. Chunilall has done so many fundraising, donations, private yajnas, etc. All this was done for that mandir and Pt. Chunilall has done all that for the mandir. You are trying to bring someone down who lives a live of dharma. He is the life support for that Tri murti. Have you mentioned any of the services he has done. The lord is very upset with you for bringing an innocent person down. I am certain the Lord is with Pandit Chunilall and the Lord will take care of him. There is so much sin that you are creating on your soul Sivanand. There is nothing for you to gain from this.

I would like to see the evidence to support these accusations that you so take the time to put out there. One who already have a bad record to his name should not feel that he have to bring down other people, by casting wrongful accustations to kind hearted people. One would think that you are the one who was stealing from the Mandir and got caught and is trying to turned it around on an innocent person. Pt. Chunelall is trying to promote Santan Dhram to the society and is trying to keep kids off the streets from getting into trouble or do you want to see all the children end up like you, one who does not have any kind morals.

Punches are traded from both sides her that will not resolve anything. May be its time for the IRS and other Government agencies that regulate this type of organization to step in; do an investigation and resolve this problem. It would be interesting to see what the by laws of the Mandir is. I wonder who has positions for life and who has the right to hire and fire without the committee member’s involvement. File a formal complaint and take it from there. I am sure the truth will prevail.

Personally I think this Sibadan is jealous of the pandit and his family, he should be ashamed to attack someone that does so much for the community. Sibadan you were fired and that you need to accept obviously you weren’t doing a good job. (And you prove that here) After all you are a convicted felon, beside I heard you try to kill or killed your own daughter (You should have consider yourself lucky to be in such great company). If I were Chunelall & his brother I would get a restraining order. If anything you should thanks Chunelall & the Community for accepting someone like you as part of the Trimurti family.

We heard that at the TRIMURTI yesterday after Pandit Chunelall gave the mandir 18 thousand dollars Sibadan said PANDIT CHUNELALL DID A NOBLE THING. The money has been taken care of now Sibadan cant complain that anyone took money. Also yesterday, the people were in their hundreds at the mandir and they all were clapping their hands for Pandit Chunelall. Sibadan and Khemraj went to the mandir and see for themselves how much support the pandit has.So you all should stop write garbage about the mandir or the priest. NO ONE WILL BREAK THE TRIMURTI FAMILY. GOD IS ON THE SIDE OF TRIMURTI.

So now we hear that PT. Chunilall returned the money that he took/borrowed. Which of course means Sibadan wasn’t lying about that.
All of you were jumping to conclusions that Chunilall would never do such a thing, he admitted it by returning the money.

I, for one am very shocked to see how, “fellow guyanese” people can try to slander eachother… In today’s day and age, it’s just very sickening… Going to the Shri Trimurti Bhavan is a great experience… it’s a temple for God… Why would anyone want to ruin it? For the people who hate Pandit Chunellal and his Brother Dr. Dhanpaul, why waste your time, arguing about who did what… First and foremost, no one should be commenting on the whole “situation” at the Trimurti Bhavan. If you don’t attend Sunday Satsang there, then you don’t know what is going on. If you don’t know what’s caused all the “drama” then just shut up.
Once, I vowed that I wouldn’t go back because of the so called “concerned” Sibidan… Why? Because he blasted at the youth of the mandir telling them they should know what to sing and when to sing it. Sibidan has always had a nasty attitude, even in Mandir, but still, he had the opportunity to clear his name for the snake that he is. Yes, you may wonder how he became treasurer of the Bhavan, but does it really matter? Think about it… Does it? It’s been done, why even debate how it came about?… That’s just retarded.. But I returned to Trimurti and I am glad I did…
Sibidan has a very big problem when it comes to Power…. He always wants to be in control… and the whole Congregation saw that on that Sunday morning when he blasted the two young, devoted Pandits. Sibidan took one message and Blew it out of porportion- and the whole Congregation felt it fit for Mr. Treasurer and Vice President, Dumb and Dumber, to apologize, but their pride got in the way, and they didn’t
If you are a person who has such a big role in Mandir, such as being the Treasurer, I think you should atleast be there 2x a month, atleast. I don’t like Dhanpaul, but you know what, he had a decision to make, and I believe he made a wise one… How can it be that a treasurer be so busy for the first QUARTER of the year? If you so call live for this ” Mandir” how do you become so overwhelmed with so much work that you can not check on the books for the Mandir.
Sibidan says that there are moneys missing from the accounts because the mandir is “paying” chunellal because of whatever reasons have been alleged in this letter… but if you are the treasurer, and this is true, where is the proof?
They say everything happens for a reason, and let me tell you- that is the truth, because who ever it is, who wrote this apalling news letter has done one thing, It has brought the Shri Trimurti Bhavan Family closer and stronger than ever before…. United we stand! Someone told me to come to this website and see whats going on… It’s sad to know that west indian people have to act like this… No matter which God or which Faith you belong to- everyone who’s made malice remarks towards any party of this whole situation, they need God NOW. There is no need to get worked up…
And yes, Sibidan if you’re reading this, I hope you do know that you are a shameless person, to have the nerve to come to Trimurti after everything you have done and all the disrespect you’ve thrown around.

As a person who goes to Mandir, it is sad to see how everyone is fighting, calling eachother names, using others’ names to get their point across. UPDATE - SIBIAN DROPS ALL CHARGES - 5/19/07
Yesterday Dr. Dhanpaul Narine met with Rohee Sibidan’s office located at 117th street and Rockaway Boulevard and Sibidan couldn’t hide behind his false teeth any longer and gave in. He’s going to drop all the charges and retract his letter. He will hand over the general ledgers and other financial statements and will not seek reinstatement. Sibidan also divulged the names of three others who were also in this plan: Krishen Khemraj, Dr. Tara Singh, and also surprisingly another senior pandit who shall not be named unless it is deemed proper.

Mr. Sibadan instead of trying to tarnish Pt. Chunelall’s reputation by posting this letter you should have informed the authorities. I think you posted the letter, because there are no factual evidence to support your claims and this is your only way of getting revenge. “I do hope he sue you for slander.” As a professional and a grown man, who supposedly believe in sanatam dharma and proclaimed yourself as an honest person, you should have known better. I see you as an angry, jealous, bitter person who wants to destroy Pt. Chunelall and his brother, a mandir, community and most importantly innocent people belief that there are good Pandits out there, to boost your selfish ego. People get fired every day, one reason being they are incompetent. Accept that you failed. I am not sure why you were named Treasurer in the first place, but personally I do not see your qualifications!?!?!?
First of all, you do not discuss an institution financial matter during service. It is one of the reasons there is an executive committee. Secondly, the devotees are there to pray, not to listen to you and others rambling and promoting yourselves. It is a waste of time for many to listen to all of you say the samething over and over again. Furthermore, as a treasurer, you clearly weren’t performing your duties if you allowed the things stated in your allegations. Why didn’t you come forward before???
Someone mentioned Pandits makes between $300 - $700 per jhandi. Pt. Chunelall is a well known priest and is established not only in NY, but nationally and internationally. At times he do 3 to 4 jhandi per day. He is a hard working individual. Did it not crossed your mind maybe that is why he have so much material possession. Your listing of his assets exposed your jealousy and not showed the public that his hands were supposedly in the cookie jar as you would want us to think.
Regarding Ahmad Group of Companies comment. You should be the last to judge anyone, because it is a known fact that you are the KING OF CON ARTIST!!!
The supporters of the mandir are not stupid. They know who Pt. Chunelall is. It is why they continuously supported him and will keep on doing. Why do you think the mandir is always filled with devotees!!! Surely not because of a conspirator :-)…
People believe in Pt. Chunelall, his practice and Shri Trimurti Bhavan. He is the foundation of the mandir. He is our Pandit. He is our Godfather. He will prevail! You haters will remain pitiful as you always were.
