Zionist regime uses ‘Darfur crisis’ as distraction

IRNA: The Zionist regime has been advised by AIPAC, the powerful American Jewish lobby which tightly controls the American Congress, to carry out a high-profile propaganda campaign with regard to the humanitarian crisis in the troubled Sudanese region of Darfur.
In this context, the Zionist Foreign Minister Tzibi Livni, on Wednesday met with African ambassadors to Israel, telling them that the Zionist regime was following up the plight of the Darfurian people.
According to the Israeli state-run radio, Livni told the ambassadors that Israel was also trying to give humanitarian aid to the victims of the tribal conflict there.
It is widely believed that by highlighting the Darfur conflict Israel is only trying to distract attention from its own oppression of some 3.7 million Palestinian languishing under the sinister Israeli military occupation.
Israel is barring Palestinians access to food and work and confining most Palestinians to their towns and villages.
The Zionist regime is also withholding hundreds of millions of Palestinian tax receipts for the purpose of starving the Palestinians and coercing them to give political concessions.
