Turkey still denying Armenian genocide

Turkey is urging its ambassadors to protest against France and Canada for describing the mass killings of Armenians by Turks in the 1900s as genocide.  France is pushing for a bill which would make the denial of the Armenian genocide a crime and Turkey recently criticised Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper for remarks he made in support of recognising the mass killings as genocide. Turkey denies the killings of 1.5 Armenians in the early 1900s amounted to genocide, saying people died on both sides.
