Zimbabwe is running out of HIV/AIDS drugs
Zimbabwe is running out of the anti-retroviral drugs needed to treat HIV/Aids with less than one’s months supply left, according to the state-run Herald newspaper. Twenty thousand people in Zimbabwe take the drugs and an interruption in the course of treatment can cause serious illness. The National Pharmaceutical Company which imports the drugs blamed the shortage on a foreign currency crisis. The company told the newspaper it needed 7.4million dollars from the central bank. Zimbabwe currently has the highest annual rate of inflation in the world at more than 900 per cent. About 3,000 Zimbabweans die of Aids-related illness each week.
Here’s one story the Left is missing entirely: the concerted campaign by the U.S. & Brits to sabotage Zimbabwe’s economy and stage yet another of their “rainbow revolutions”. How many more deaths are on their hands?
Mugabe & Co. being undemocratic assholes makes it easy for the imperialists to divide and conquer (one big reason revolutions have to be completely democratic); but all this trouble really rests on _their_ shoulders. Too bad Azania is run by another set of stooges… Revolution the only answer — in Afrika and everywhere.
