Dear Mr. Keck:
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sheley Secrest, President of the Seattle King County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP). As you are no doubt aware, the NAACP is the oldest, largest and most recognized civil rights organization in America. Since our early inception in 1913, the Seattle Branch of the NAACP has been working to make our community one in which all individuals are valued. Â
Last week, the Seattle NAACP received a request from Malichi Daniels, a concerned member of our community, to investigate his claim of discriminatory treatment. The issues brought by Daniels represents some of the most blatant patterns of discrimination reported to the Seattle NAACP in recent times. As such, I am asking that a meeting be set up with the NAACP, and The Stranger to address these concerns. It is our expectation that The Stranger would contact the NAACP within the next five business days at (206) 324-6600. Â

Hi i have been deal with alot of descrimination in the southern eastern part of the United States(north carolina), it seem like it is never going to stop, i have worked local had to deal with mis-leading people, for instance i have been working 3 weeks at a job through a temporary agency and never recieved any income to date, the transaction never came to me, i dont know how to deal with this, with that i had to put up with getting my car repo, oh no to mention the scams i have to put up with @ car servive, i have partically paid my car off, its a used lot, now that im fixing it up got a little behind due to the discrimination from my job , i have to deal with this, its not only me its alot more, this needs to be stopped and some1 must pay for my wages and lost! i need a representative to document this and look in2 it, i specifically inform the clerk that i will be in once i get my income, now i have to settle, no im going to stand up and speak, i need some1 to help me investigate this matter, just because my check didnt come, even the attendants lie about the issue , week after week, , and now im on the streets, im trying to finish school beacause im “BLACK!!”

The right to keep and bear arms is a civil right and is the foundation for the rest of the civil rights.

you’re confusing bill of rights with civil rights. the fact that you can carry a gun is 2nd amendment and that is not the foundation to any civil right or civil rights law in usa. if they were connected they would’ve showed up on the scene at or about the same time not hundreds of years apart
